Talking about abusing pob power is the most important thing for us to discuss. Because using pob power is not just to provide benefits for author and curators. But should also care about the profit of the pob project and make the pob platform a clean place filled with quality content.

So here I want to try to give some ideas that come out of my stupid brain. But I'm not going to force people to like my idea, I'm just trying to write whatever I know. And I know that the #pob-discussion tag can be used by everyone to write posts about ideas, feedback for pob projects. But you should not use the #pob-discussion tag to post porn there, because you will be dealing with the law on abusing the tag. lol

So what makes some curators abuse pob power by giving upvotes for plagiarized posts? If I think there are some things that make some curators abuse pob power.

Maybe they are too busy with work so they don't have much time to check for plagiarism. So when they read a post, the example in that post has wise words, great words about ideas or words that can make the curators sad to read them.. lol..then give upvotes on the post because it has the word -great words, without realizing that all the words were copied on another site then he pasted it on the POB platform.

Maybe for me a curator like this can still be understood because he doesn't have the time. But don't do things like that, you should try to check for plagiarism on the posts you want to upvote. And if other curators find plagiarism in a post you upvoted, when they tell you to remove an upvote on that post you have to hear them do it. You don't have to worry about not getting rewarded for that post, because missing one will grow to a thousand. lol

There are also curators like this, they don't want to waste time checking for plagiarism in posts they want to upvote. I think to check for plagiarism in posts that you want give upvotes is not too difficult, you just need to use duplichecker then you paste all the words that you have copied at the post you want give an upvote, then you paste on duplichecker. It's a simple way to check for plagiarism if you don't want to waste too much time checking for plagiarism and at least you have tried to check for plagiarism before giving upvotes.

I think such curators are outrageous which can hurt the project. Maybe if project pob could talk, when you ask him if he feels pain when you upvote for plagiarism. Then he will answer, "yeah I'm in pain, because basically I was created to accommodate quality posts. I was not created to accommodate plagiarism posts". And such a curator has a selfish attitude that only thinks about his own profit.

So how to not abuse pob power?

After thinking and I tried to write it here. Even though the idea I wrote here might look stupid, but I don't care about it. Because everyone has an idea and everyone can give an idea for pob. So I have two ideas for now, because my brain can't give me too many ideas in one day. Maybe my brain will give me another idea tomorrow..lol

Have you heard of ocdb?

Ocdb is a curator who has successfully made all communities grow on hive, and has a lot of delegates on ocdb accounts. If I think to avoid abusing pob power, maybe the pob platform should create a Hive account@curation.pob account so all shareholders can delegate their pob power to the Hive account@curation.pob account. For the way it works that I see, ocdb will return payments with $hive for those who delegate hive power to the ocdb account each day and for the payment amount depending on how much hive power they delegate to the ocdb account. But to do that is not possible alone, there must be some mod or curator to review every post on the pob platform then tell Hive account@curation.pob to give upvote for that post.

For the second, if indeed the shareholders do not want to delegate and want to provide curation using their own hands. Perhaps to avoid abusing pob power is to create a channel on discord, that channel is only visible to a few people. So the mod's job is to review all quality posts on the POB platform then send a post link to that channel to ask the curators to reward posts that have been reviewed. So can curators still give upvotes for posts other than posts on that channel? yeah they can, but at least this will reduce abuse of pob power on the pob platform.

Maybe that's my stupid idea that I can share today, maybe next time my brain will come up with another idea for pob..lol..and I want to talk a little bit about plagiarism.

Plagiarism is sometimes stupid and can be said to have no brain..lol..yeah every time he makes a post he can always be caught and get a downvote, but there is also professional plagiarism. Professional plagiarism is someone who can speak various languages, for example, if he can speak chinese, he just needs to find a post in chinese, then he translates the chinese post into english. I'm sure until you get dizzy you will never find plagiarism in that post, unless the Chinese post has been translated into english before. Does that also include plagiarism? i don't know that, maybe a translator..lo
