After spending over two weeks on Hive, my assessments are telling me this project will amount into nothing.
Before you judge my assessment, just give me a minute of your time. unless hive changes its blockchain system it will amount to nothing, in the least it won't pick up.
A copycat of steem. majority of people who moved in Hive blockchain have the same mentality as those on steem, their ways of doing things are almost the same, that this project is merely the same as steem with minor improvements, therefore the founders don't have an original vision in the years ahead.
It is not really decentralized as they claim it to be, there are whales everywhere, people stamp on others where I don't see more of centralization than decentralized.
Unfriendliness of the system, any project succeeds because of its user-friendly, not only the system but also the community, This project is mostly based on geeks who understand blockchain and programming, those who don't understand are simply left to struggle, or they make lots of mistakes to simply give up on it
Quality over quantity, The system is made only to fight spam, and plagiarism, even if someone shares their own content that they published on other platforms, they call on it plagiarism, it seems they spend more time thinking about plagiarism than creating a better system, this tips off and gets in the nerves of newcomers. They should have spent more time educating newcomers on how to use the system than spending more time creating bots.
Poor algorithm, how can you reward someone based on votes? if someone spends an awful amount of time to research and develop content or article, how do you expect a good quality by simply rewarding them with the votes, and still these votes depend on whales, someone writes a well-presented article of 8 minutes and another person comes in, just post a selfie, then the person who posts a selfie gets more reward. This voting or payment system is all wrong, If you want high-quality content makes it worth it, attracts real professional content creators.
Struggling developers, like content creators, developers are struggling, the good example is
. Developers are the lifeblood of any blockchain project, if you starve them you starve the system, if someone can walk away from such a big project, be scared, I was heartbroken to hear these guys are selling their app.
No significant income, we have to face the fact that people come to projects like this to make even a full-time career if the payment system is not good, people are forced to find other sources of income and eventually abandon everything.
Creepy people, conspiracy theories, and misinformation, I have seen this guy
, he comments on everything, I have seen a video that promotes white supremacy, other people posting a video about vaccines conspiracies and such without real proof. This simply tips people off.
Yeah, so that's that, I don't really see any future on this project, to be honest, Just waiting to cash out my money and leave. that's another thing too, why would you hold the hive power, and not be able to release them instantly? Have you guys ever thought about what the word Hive implies? ever seen the episode on star trek about Borgs?
