The Winter Fairs have already begun in the city since last month but I was not able to visit any so far because of something or the other. This Friday I decided to attend one finally which was taking place at the convention centre. It becomes a nice evening outing attending these fairs. When it comes to the things being sold here, it is almost one and the same at every fair. It's just about the whole vibe and moreover the kids in our group enjoy these places since there are games section for them which surely is fun for them. For us elders besides looking around the things we sit chit chat, eat and drink. For me going to these fairs is no more a shopping affair, because I barely buy anything from these places.
The one at this particular place is always interesting because the place is big so there are more stalls not only of the items but for entertainment also.
Some very beautiful frames, all the drawings give a spiritual reflection and they are so meaningful. Some of them also have Indian themes.
These are some miniatures of the same art work. So if someone does not want to buy the big ones they can also buy the smaller ones and postcards as well.
These are sage sticks made of different types of herbs and saffron of different qualities.
Something for the children. Toys and accessories
My all time favorite, Crystals. But they are always very highly priced from what I can get back home in India, so I hardly buy from these places, unless something very unique is there which I may not find back home. The ones which are here are the very common ones
There is clothing, footwear, accessories and lot of things, but honestly not my type, basically it's all very heavy stuff and I am not in to wearing these kind of clothes or accessories, but it's always nice to take a look.
Essential oils and Incense sticks
The play area for the children. My friend's son had a gala time in this place
There were some craft activities for them, everything had to be paid for.
Here comes the Food part
They look yummmm, but I have to give it a miss :-)
We bought some barbeque foods to eat and enjoyed our evening. Places are like these are good to spend the weekend. It is a small city so over a period of time you get to know quite a few people because they are the same everywhere.
