I firmly believe in the capacity we all have to love, but you probably already know that.
But it doesn't stop there: I am also absolutely certain that we can teach WITH love to teach THE love. A few years ago, I learned that lesson. I stepped out of my perfect mirage of a "socially normal life" and embarked on a drifting ship called: here and now.
In the present, nothing about me or around me is politically "correct", but it is still consistent. I no longer follow social rules, but personal ones.
What was the most valuable lesson? LOVE. Loving means forgiving, RESPECTING (even if you don't understand it), being patient, listening, observing and also setting limits and walking away WITH LOVE when you realize that a situation has taken you to the extreme (the extreme of "love": it's not that you stop loving, it's that you can't see the situation with the same eyes anymore).
I understood then that being lovable and loved is a gerund, that not everyone gets it and that's why I should not stop doing it, and that (finally) everyone deserves it, no matter who they were or are, love is universal, unique and true, and everyone, sooner or later, we all love.
You may find it a little hard to understand my words, because there is more philosophy and experience than definitions, concepts and ideologies that seem to come out of a "happy box". You have to live it to understand it. And that's the invitation for today, Friday, to LIVE it. Breathe in, count to 3 before exhaling and let the air out all at once.
Now LOVE, so intensely everything around you that you feel like your chest is going to explode, and go outside feeling the same. I'm a true believer in the capacity we all have to love, but you probably already know that.
