I have also come to realize that the smile on the face of your workers after payment of their salary is a message to you not to owe them nor delay their payment. It also shows a sign of relief from fear of harassment that could result from inability to pays bills. Though it is their rights to get paid after work not a privilege but allowing that right as at when due is good for both parties.
The reputation of the organization is very important, paying workers on time make your firm a responsible one. Nobody would wants to work with a company that delay people's salary, and this may hinder you from getting responsible and competent workers. What people think about your organization should matter to you as it will help you to re-strategize and make necessary corrections to any negative perceptions regarding your firm. One way to keep your company's reputation intact is by paying them on time.
Timely payment is a way of motivation and setting a standard for your workers. Money can motivate people a lot to carry out their duty effectively though it is not the only factor that determines the effectiveness of work but when there is hope, there is strength.
So, if you are an employer or a financial controller of your organization, do well to pay your workers on time as it will not just make them happy to work with right attitude but a good reputation for your organization
