I am solymi I am proud to be a member of Acolytes of Helio the number 116 in the guild ranking.
We are a pretty fresh guild created in November last year, and I am the youngest member with only joining in April this year. I joined the guild when I asked around on discord if anyone would have a free space and on the discord server of 
Different guilds have different requirements of course so I consider myself lucky that I got in so easily.
I was always aware that in almost any game where players can create guild or groups or alliences give those players who want to engage with others benefits for doing so.
In Splinterlands you have more than one benefit from being in a guild.
The guild interface where this screenshot is from shows you the basic information of your guild and info on the members, you have a cool chat function where you can, well surprise chat with your crew.
The most interesting features are the buildings and the brawls and these two go kinda hand in hand.
Buildings
There are three times of buildings in the guild the hall, the lodge and the arena. As you can see on the picture above the level of the guild hall determines how many members a guild can have. Currently we are standing on level 3 and we have to contribute another 18k DEC to level up to level 4. The next time we will have an aditional spot for a new member is not before level 6.
The Lodge is all about quests.
By completing your daily quests you can contribute to leveling up your guilds lodge. The level cap is the level of your guilds hall so always be sure to level up that first!
The higher the level of your guilds lodge is the more benefits you get. At current level each member gets a 3% bonus on the DEC earned in ranked battles. Also we get 1% discount when purchasing items in the shop. On the picture below you can see how the benefits increase while leveling up. The maximum is reached when the lodge is on level 10 giving huge benefits of 20% DEC bonus and a 8% discount in the shop!
The last building is the arena of your guild and thats where the brawls come in. The level of your guilds arena determines how many frays your guild can enter during a brawl. Also potential rewards increase with higher levels. Acolytes of Helio arena is now at level 2 and we can enter 13 frays in the next brawl.
Brawls
Now this is a new feature in the game but taking it to a whole new level. Brawls was the main reason for me applying for a guild membership at the first place. Each brawl starts with the prep stage where players can enter the fray of their choice. I am in the bronze league level cap gold foil only fray, I chose this fray because you have less battles to fight, also my collection seems to work pretty well in this fray. (meaning in the last brawl I won 2 of 2 battles scoring vital points in the ranking)
Depending on the overall performance of your guild at the end of each brawl rewards are being distributed to the guild in form of crowns.
As the brawl function roles out slowly there will be more stuff to come. A guild shop to spend the crowns and also the barracks
The Barracks will provide unique bonuses to all guild members at each level that will increase their chances of emerging victorious in the guild brawls. It is not required for guilds to upgrade their Barracks at all, however guilds that do not upgrade their Barracks will be at a disadvantage when battling guilds with higher level Barracks in the brawls. Please note that Barracks bonuses will apply to guild brawl battles only.
