Playdough fun for Sunday
I have a great relationship with my Ex. She has a great little nena from her second marriage.
And that little handful was copying reality with her little fingers, which is the story for today.
I was over at her house for one of the birthdays, just got home. Of course, I had taken out the snakes that used to be mine, they are not the kids' snakes.
Goldie is the golden one of course, and she had been out crawling all over my middle child's face. Later, I sat down at the table to talk to my Ex and the little one was creating this work of art.
I am not sure where she got the idea of bands or stripes, but the rest was right on track down to the tongue and eyes. The artista is seven now and she was wearing the go speed racer shirt that my littlest got about twelve years ago. It was so cute to see the next generation doing the same things and wearing the same clothes they used to. I miss my kids in their formative years.
My kids used to make play-dough animals so many years ago, and now their little sister has taken to that same sort of art. They used to wear this shirt and it was so important to them back then. Now she is wearing it for tradition's sake. Fun Sunday!
