We all have grown up listening to this poem, isn't it? But how many of us follow it? If you are a morning person, congratulations! You are a step closer to keeping a healthy lifestyle.
Mornings are to work and exercise, nights are to rest and sleep. These days, people have kind of reversed the trend. They work and play, watch TV at night and sleep late till the morning. This is the worst lifestyle we have adapted to. We are actually going against nature if are doing so.
Most of it can be attributed to technological advancements I believe. With the advent of smartphones, the booming Internet, OTT, there's so much distraction that we have forgotten to follow a healthy lifestyle and routine. These things keep up distracted and we fail to sleep early and hence fail to rise up early.
Waking up early comes with a lot of benefits. Let's see what are those.
Better Organization
It has been scientifically proven that morning hours are the most productive hours than any other part of the day. Hence waking up early helps you be faster and smarter thus letting you streamline your daily activities.
Improved Productivity
When you wake up early, you are fresh all day and hence your productivity goes manifold. You don't feel lazy and lethargic.
Exercise
You have ample time to exercise in the fresh air that has fewer pollutants.
Reduced Stress
When you wake up early, you have more time of the day at your disposal and hence you are able to finish your tasks on time which reduces the work pressure and stress that builds up during the day because of rush.
More time to yourself
This one is from my personal experience and I can literally vouch for it. I wake up early when my son is already sleeping and I get time to myself which normally I would not get because I have to take care of him during the day. When I wake up early, I have time to take a good bath, apply nail paint, sip a cup of tea in my balcony, exercise and do things that I like.
Better Metabolism
Your body functions better when you wake up early because that's how it is designed to be. It gives you a better metabolism.
These reasons should be enough for anyone to give up on their night routine and start following the morning routine. Do yourself the needful for a better, healthy lifestyle.
