It's my mom's birthday today and I am going to meet her!
I am very closely attached to my mom, my day starts with a phone call to her and so do my evenings. We don't have too much to talk always (because we talk twice a day), but still we make sure we call because it's a habit and also we can't do without it.
We are 3 brothers and sisters but she is closest to me. We share all our joys and sorrows with each other. If she fights with my dad. she would call me to complain, haha 😄 If she purchases a new dress, she would be excited like a child and immediately send me a picture to ask how does she look. For her, it's me with whom she shares her heart aloud and for me, it's her.
What makes our relationship really special is that she is not like a mom to me with a scale in hand and screaming loud voice. She is like a friend to me. She is someone who would not scold me if I do anything wrong but rather explain to me where I went wrong and how should I undo that. I can go and watch adult movies with her, share adult jokes with her and she won't mind. I can tell her that I drink, I can tell her I am going for a night out and all she would ask for is to be safe.
She is a super lady. She's so adaptable, she would become a 1 year old with Raag and a 70-year-old with my grandma, sometimes a teenager and sometimes an adult. She has a very simple funda - she says if you want to enjoy yourself with someone and want them to feel comfortable with you, you have to become like them. WOW!
A mother-daughter relationship is indeed very special. Mine is my life. I can't imagine a day without my mom. Sometimes I realize she is getting old and it scares me to hell but that's a fact I and we all have to accept. It's a life cycle which she faced with her mother, I will do with her and Ragg will do with me.
My mom is my inspiration, she is the wind behind me that can never stop. I just wish I can build a similar relationship with Raag and one day he would also write a post about me and him 😊
And when I asked her what does she want on her birthday this year, she said nothing, I have Raag now 😍
