Who wouldn’t accept that Love, Time, and Death are all three deal with ideas rather than actual happenings or events? I feel that each of these three connects with every human being living on Earth. I can go to the extent and say that even after death, which denotes time, love remains, even if it changes the way of expression.
May I quote Howard what he said about Love, Time & Death?
Everything that we covet, everything that we fear not having, everything that we ultimately end up buying. It’s because, at the end of the day, we long for love, we wish we had more time, and we fear death.
Let me accept that I did not see the point myself at first glance when someone gave the idea of collateral beauty in her message for the first time. But then I searched and immediately reached the conclusion. What a beautiful way of bringing the concept to the knowledge of each and everyone, and what a beautiful way of making us aware of what’s going on in the world.
When I read this term, collateral beauty, for the first time, I knew it was more than a message, but there was something deep. Once I read this message, I had some difficulty finding its meaning. But once I found out, I could clearly see where the message was leading to, with a hint coming in the form of the words Life, Time & Deth, and what the Collateral Beauty stood for. The rest was easy!
The Collateral Beauty, "Just be sure you notice the collateral beauty. It’s a profound connection to everything. "
I guess most people are so used to collateral damage, connected but not really important things, or even the very people that break or get hurt in that process, but no one really looks at those wonderful acts shown during those very moments that make a person feel better.

However, I agree with the idea that if we have to live a happy life, then we have to look at everything with a positive mindset. A negative thought, even if momentary, can destroy your hard-earned reputation forever, and that too, within no time. Who knows, it better than I do? I would like to remind you of what I have believed all my life.
I once read Wayne Dyer, an internationally renowned author, and motivational speaker, in my business school. That was a long time ago, but I will never forget this. I see this phrase as applicable in every walk of life.
If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change-Wayne Dyer
The phrase the messenger chose as the theme of this post is from the movie Collateral Beauty, which has something similar that says, "No matter how dark or difficult the time is, there is something beautiful that is happening right there. You just have to look, you just have to see it".
Am I doing the same? Maybe you aren’t aware of the truth, but this is my real life. I am a successful marketing executive, but too sentimental about loving my wife and daughter. I suffered a similar tragedy when I lost someone whom I will never forget in my life.
I did not go to the extent of going to seek answers from the universe by writing letters to Love, Time, and Death, but would you believe I took to writing online and changed my way of living my life after I suffered from that tragedy? And I accept that tragedy made me touchy!
That’s right, I changed my way of looking at things once I realized that we have to live with the pain and hardships of life. Hardships are part of life, as life is not all about the bed of roses, but it comprises thorns as part of the roses! Isn’t it? I tried to find something positive, even in situations that would send a person into a deep depression.
From there, I learned that if you see the positive side of a person or a situation you’re in, the result will be positive for you, but if you look at the negative side of that situation or person, you will get negativity, nothing else. The choice is yours.
As I have already said, if you are not comfortable with the pain that comes from the thorns of a rose, you will never know about its beauty. The rose is not all about love, but it brings pain as well, and one has to live with both. The choice is entirely yours. Even love is not all rosy, but it has its own anxious moments.
But don’t you think that once your attitude changes about how you look at things, the entire scenario changes too? What you consider your own problems until then suddenly turns into opportunities! I am a salesperson, so I will tell you about my tribe here. I stepped up the ladder quicker than my batch mates because I had the ambition to sell combs to baldies or a refrigerator to an Eskimo! That’s right, a positive mindset in every field works like a magic lamp.
When I saw that phrase and the idea behind it, I immediately searched for Collateral Beauty. It was all about love, but the key points were love, time, and death. The meaning behind Collateral Beauty shows how these three factors bring happiness, pain, and ultimate separation that bring emotional pain to every human being or how we react to the pain.
The funniest part of all this is that the pain comes from a source that we love most, our loved ones and whom we keep in our prayers.
I will not go into more details, but it’s all about love, death, and pain. It’s all about the viewpoints, the mindsets that the humans through. It shows that the concept of "collateral beauty" applies not only to Howard’s story, but to each and everyone with human feelings that can see the beauty in the pain of love, time, and death.
