A world that is built on the idea of freedom, privacy and autonomy. It is a world where we can build new things, have new ideas and transform the lives of people for the better. Similar to when the internet first came into being there is this innovative spirit that is currently creating something completely new. But the internet has "failed" on this promise and we have ended up with a Web 2.0 world in which corporations and nation states have taken control of our lives and privacy.
With blockchain there is a new hope, a new beginning. And this technology is coming to fruiting at a time when humanity needs it the most. It is a time of power, control, greed and fear. And when one realizes how tightly the chains have already been locked on every individual, one can see a very frightening world that is not interested in the liberation of the human soul.
Web 3.0 is about bringing back that sense of innovative freedom, our natural tendency to trade and make connections. It is about restoring that original promise seen almost 30 years ago.
Nationstates are about control
Nationstates' need for control and power is blatantly obvious and more pronounced than ever before with the pandemic we are facing. No matter how you stand on the debate about the virus itself; the government responses all over the world should be unsettling for everyone that cherishes the aforementioned values. 2 years after lockdowns and restricting individual rights, we are in an even worse position with no end in sight. Governments, even so called "democracies" have become increasingly authoritarian, pushing for harder and harder restrictions on a big minority.
Crypto Technology as a light at the end of a dark tunnel
The dystopia we have created will have no happy ending if we continue down this path of tyranny. Regulation is coming for cryptos; the governments are doing everything they can to take away that glimmer of hope and stamp us with an ID that will be used to track our every movement. This is not a conspiracy theory anymore in times of digital covid passports. Who is to say where this will end? It could be used as an excuse for safety and security to push through pretty much anything politicians desire.
But blockchains especially decentralized ones like Hive are all about anonymity and autonomy. You have your keys to your account, no one can cancel you, you are free to trade with whomever you want, you are able to earn and be rewarded for your work and contributions without someone taking away a good chunk of it. Hive, like other coins belongs to the cryptoverse that exists independent from the rest of the financial world. This essentially means that we are free. We have power. We are not subservient to the existing power structures (although they are trying to be established here as well). It is inclusive for everyone of the human family.
If we manage to continue to develop and build this world, we don't need that other archaic controlled and regulated world. We can just continue to build independent of the latter. We have the ability to trade and build and share that which we value.
Let's create a bright and inclusive future together in which everyone can participate and regain their basic human values which are unnegotiable.
