Yet another day with a different problem. I read somewhere that if you wake up to banging of doors, noise, terror or even alarm clock, then your day is going to be disrupted. It won't go as smooth as it was supposed to go.
I am still trying to experiment with that fact. Today I woke up to an aggressive bang on the door. My neighbour was agitated so early in the morning. He was complaining about his new flip flops. The thing is, we are very free with each other and we share our things in my lodge. You could remove your flip flops to enter a room and the next minute you won't find it, it would probably be on another person's foot.
I have done that a couple of times and it has been done to me too so it's just a normal thing for everyone but the story took a turn today. The guy that stays opposite me came to bang on my door so early in the morning. I thought it was an assassin because of how hard the banging was.
When the door was opened, he asked if I knew where one of the other lodge mates was. I had no idea of his whereabouts. He started lamenting . " Why would someone take my thing like that! My new flip flops! Blah blah blah". I think the agitation was much because the flip flops happened to be brand new.
I, on the other hand, felt pained. Why would I wake up to this? It's just a flip flop that would wear off and tear in the end. Why be so angry about it?.
He eventually saw who he was looking for and got his flip flops. The guy who was with the flip flops also felt pained because, why not? Everyone has their own flip flops and so you should feel honoured if someone decides to wear yours!
All these happened within a span of thirty minutes. The owner of the flip flops should have just handled everything calmly. Like I always say, violence, furry, agitation and lamenting is never the best way to handle issues. They are more subtle ways of handling issues.
I am still pained at the fact that my early morning sleep was disrupted. It wasn't even worth it after allp. Well, I'm still on my experiment. Waiting to see if my whole day would be disrupted too.
With love, wongi✨
