HOORAY
What have I found, WHAT have I found??
What??
m u s h r o o m s !
Can you believe it?
OK, chill down mipiano. 😂
Mushrooms are common everywhere and it's not a big deal finding them. Not everyone will be this excited about this discovery. But, those who know the story about the aliens and how they kidnapped all the mushrooms from my country will be surprised that I saw some fungi.
In the end, I understand now why it was so difficult to find any.
They had to hide, so it was under the ground where they were hiding all this time. It was a smart move, to protect themselves.
The only drawback is that their hat became dirty. The white was not spotless anymore, but it doesn't matter, a mushroom is a mushroom, clean, dirty alive or dead :D
So, let's see how went my encounter with them. It was about ten days that we spent a day in the mountain. While I was walking in the forest, a tiny little voice called:
Hey Mi, what's up?
His eyes were fixed on me but the voice that came from his mouth just a few seconds ago ceased. I think he realized that the shelter they were hiding in is not protected anymore if I see them. But I would not harm them.
I just picked up those ones that I saw already detached from their stems. Like this one:
Looking at this mushroom cap from the bottom side was like seeing a flower.
My surprise was endless when I spotted every next mushroom I found. There were those tiny guys like this one:
A few more tiny fungi crossed my path too, but this one was already so dry. Poor guy.
The same one but with me :))
It could be maybe sad that many of them were already dried (and dead) but that didn't spoil my happiness. As I said, a mushroom is a mushroom, alive or dead haha
They can be considered fossils :))
There were also those that were hiding under the dry grass and conifer needles. Those were also old and tired mushrooms, waiting for their own decomposition.
And this sad post showing just old mushrooms could finish here... but, I did find some youngsters too!! Mushrooms that just came out from the place they were hiding. As we said, under the ground.
Yep! Dirty cap, but it is all forgiven :)
The beauty and pride of this mushroom are giving me joy! Although the cap from above is showing the signs of that hiding period, covered with soil, the gills are so clean and nice! This lovely and elegant mushroom brings balance to the oldies.
It was not easy to find this group of mushrooms. I had to remove the soil and dry leaves from the top of them. I have a short video too, about that digging out and clinging action, but even after several attempts I couldn't convert it to a gif and post it here. I probably make a mistake I don't see while I am converting it, so just the photo of them is here.
My surprise was huge, and my happiness even greater! Well, it happened so long time ago that I saw a mushroom in nature (not just in the store).
Their hiding place was perfect, but in the end, taking the risk to be rediscovered by the aliens, these brave mushrooms decided to show themselves at the #FungiFriday event, held by 🙂
