Fungifriday today I want to share a photo of a mushroom that grows in moist soil between fallen leaves and also grows on weathered trees This mushroom has a slightly wavy hood that is brown and a little thicker in the middle of the hood. This mushroom also grows in pairs with the bottom having a gill-like shape and at the bottom of the stem has fine white hairs.
The possibility of this fungus is a symbiosis that helps other plants absorb nutrients from the soil.
This small mushroom with a slightly red brick-coloured hood is likely to belong to the genus Mycena or Galerina this mushroom is very small small hard to find this mushroom usually grows more often directly on moist soil than growing on dead wood or rotten wood.
