Mushroom Monday in the Driftless

For this week's #mushroommonday, I wanted to share this curious bunch of mushrooms I found on a hike with Hive account@nocontextphotos. There has been plenty of rain in this area of late, and this group was full in bloom once the rain ended.

It's another one I dared not pick to eat later; Hive account@nocontextphotos and I did drink a few beers after this hike, but I"m not sure the beer would have made consumption safe.

It's a cool looking fungi; it almost looks like a flower. The mosquitoes were horrendous when attempting to photograph them; more photos would have been possible.

Next week should be a fun share too; more rain in store this week and the fungi are loving it.
