Here are a few mushrooms that grew in my balcony garden for this #fungifriday by
The flower pot mushrooms are going crazy this year because this summer is quite humid. These are Leucocoprinus birnbaumii just starting some new pins.
A couple larger ones are growing behind the pinning ones. These mushrooms only last about a day before they wilt and fall over.
My tomato plant's pot has tons of pleated ink caps growing in it every morning.
They are technically edible but are so tiny that they are useless for foraging.
This is the same mushroom 15 minutes later. These guys hatch early morning and within a few hours the disintegrate into nothing.
Here are some mica caps, another edible ink cap. They can only be cooked in soups as they melt into slime if pan fried.
Here are some scaley ink caps that are starting their melting process. These are edible when they first start growing and are only good in soups. Also they can be toxic if you ingest alcoholic drinks after eating them so be careful.
Here are some dead man's fingers aka Xylaria polymorpha. These grow out of mulch and dead tree stumps during humid parts of the summer.
Now for a bonus pupa that I found in the pepper plant's pot. This will probably turn into a moth of some kind...
That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
