I've always loved doing things unplanned, and I enjoy them more that way. Whatever sparks my mind in the moment feels more exciting and natural
I was in the garden looking at this bush and thought it could make a lovely shaded spot for the kitties underneath.
Since it’s nesting season, I didn’t want any birdies nesting there for obvious reasons, though I found out today that the fledgling hopping around the garden actually has a nest right in the middle of it.
So I trimmed underneath to create some space.
I snipped off quite a bit.
I kept the top thick so it would hold plenty of shade; this will give them a cool little spot to go underneath when it’s too warm and sunny, especially during the summer.
Then I decided to turn it into a mushroom instead, just on time for #fungifriday by
I added some freshly cut grass thinly across the ground, just enough to keep it cool and cosy underneath.
I thought it would be nice to add some embellishments. So I cut mushroom spots out of a milk bottle.
I placed them on the cap and added some crochet flowers and little mushrooms.
The kitties all came to inspect; Blu was carefully checking everything out and sniffing around underneath.
He did not have enough and stuck his head inside.
Then he decided to sit underneath.
While Coco instantly and happily lay under.
I am pleased with this mushroom bush.
It’s such a cute little additional feature in the garden, and the kitties absolutely love it.
Have a lovely day,
