A little earlier this spring, when green leaves appeared only on individual trees, I came upon an old aspen during a walk, the trunk of which was abundantly covered with old, huge tinders (Fomes fomentarius). These lignified mushrooms are not needed by anyone now, but once upon a time they were dried and used as tinder for cresal, hence their name. And now tinder mushrooms are interesting only to people who are interested in the study of mushrooms.
Трохи раніше цієї весни, коли зелене листя з'явилося лише на окремих деревах, я під час прогулянки натрапив на стару осику, стовбур якої був рясно вкритий старими, величезними трутовиками (Fomes fomentarius). Ці здеревянілі гриби зараз нікому не потрібні, а колись давно їх висушували та використовували як трут для кресала, звідти в них така назва. А зараз трутовики цікаві лише людям, які захоплюються вивченням грибів.
