Hello Everyone,
Today I got a new fan for the grow tent. Let's take a look at the Crack Mack and this new fan I got today.

These are some real mammoth buds growing here, and they are going to get a lot bigger still.
This plant has filled out an entire eight foot wide tent, and the cayenne pepper plant that is usually in the flowering tent has really struggled for space this round.

That's a healthy pepper plant and it loves the same environment as the cannabis. We can see in the photograph above that the pepper plant doesn't have much space, but it is producing a nice amount of peppers anyway!

The trichome coverage is high and consistent, and these frosty nugs are also packed heavily between the two layers of netting, which are hardly seen in the photographs.
This grow I opted to defoliate much less, and the result was much more bud.
This has given me much to think about with the defoliation topic, because many growers swear by it, while other growers say it's detrimental.
With a low amount of defoliation and much heavier harvest, I'm thinking less defoliation is better for a cannabis plant.

This fan is specifically engineered for ventilation applications like this. An active carbon filter can be added when needed, but they also work great for just moving air in and out of the tent.
I hooked it up to a bottom port to push cooler air in, while allowing the heat to escape open top ports.
This is not the ideal use of this fan for this application in my opinion, a top port would probably be better, but for the rest of this grow it will be used like this. After the Crack Mack is finished I will be doing a major tent cleaning and will make necessary changes for the next grow, one of those changes being the placement of this fan to likely a top port, and perhaps it will be used to suck air out. I have not decided yet.

Harvest time Harvey knows a harvest is coming up and is excited about it. He was a good boy and didn't go behind the tent, so I let him hang out in the grow room with me while tending to the plants today.
That will do it for today's update.
Do you think this new fan will make a big difference?
I'd love to read your thoughts in the comment section!
Thank you for stopping by!
