Something is affecting the stalks of some of these plants. In the last week some of them have turned yellow and withered away. I am unsure of what is causing this exactly. Maybe insects, maybe the netting, But for now I cut off the affected stalks so it does not spread if that is possible. Hoping the issue does not start affecting more colas.

I cut this stalk about a week ago and what started growing back was all yellow as well. So I cut it back to the ground.
On a different plant I cut this stalk back to the ground as well. Really sucks to cut off the colas.
The netting may be trapping in too much moisture, so I will remove it if the problem gets worse. Theres no point to have it if they do not grow.
Black spots can be seen on the stalks most affected. When I cut them I checked inside and did not find any ants. So it may be fungus related or some other kind of stress.
Being this is my first outdoor grow, I am not sure what to expect. Maybe the netting that works so well in grow tents is just not good for the cannabis outside.
Really sucks to see the entire cola die. But if I leave it I risk whatever did this could spread to others.
We are now entering flowering season, so buds are forming. Hopefully the happy colas will stay happy.
Many of the other colas seem happy. So I will keep an eye on them and see if they change.
Just a few more months, if I can keep them happy they will be ready for harvest.
The yellowing I find near the bottom of the plant is not as concerning, but when it runs all the way up the colas that is not normal and something needs to be done.
Really wish I had a better idea of what is causing this.
Those are the stalks I had to cut off that were the most affected by this yellow wilting.
I will probably grow again next year, just might skip the netting. As it seems this is when the problems started.
They were so green and lush two weeks ago, so seeing this is concerning. They should yellow during flowering but I feel like not this much.
We can see where I cut back the stalk, the hole in the stem is normal.
After cutting back that wilted cola the others look "okay" for now. Not great but not to the point I should remove them.
Best of luck to the other colas forming.
So each day I will check on them, and if they get worse my next step is to remove the netting. I would really like it for the support, but if its causing issues outdoors I need to get rid of it.
Even if the cannabis plants are having some troubles right now, many other plants in the garden here are thriving. I will write a post coming up showing off their growth in the third acre area I keep my fruits and vegetables.
