Staying connected with the internet is very expensive in this part of the world, and to be honest I am grateful that I have access to wifi at the office which in a way saves my data subscription for the month. Now I only have to spend 20gb of data monthly instead of the normal 50gb I usually buy. I wanted to buy a mifi in the past but gave up the intentions when I realized that it might be a waste of money at the end of the day. I spend 5 to 6 days of the week at the office and only use my night and few weekends at home. Seeing that I can not be using a mifi when there is wifi access at my office where I spend the most of my day.
There are days where I really wish I had connections to a wifi though, I remember losing my one year streak last year because my mobile network was very slow and I was too busy at the office to make a post. I came back home that day hoping to do so only to find opening peakD, inleo and other frontends difficult. It was a tug of war trying to access these frontends for hours until I eventually became frustrated. When the network started coming up at about 12:00 am WAT, I thought I would be able to post but it lagged until 1:00 am WAT which was the start of a new day according to the blockchain time.
I was so frustrated and angry that day because I wish I wrote in the office where the wifi network was better, I would have gotten the yearly badge. The realization of losing my streak affected me a bit and it took a lot of courage to continue. At the end of the day I just blamed myself for not writing on time and try to do better this year. So yeah it’s safe to say that I refer wifi to mobile data network because for some reason the wifi network is very fast and the data purchase is a bit cheaper when you compare.
