Having a quality gadget for our online jobs/activities is as important as saving yourself from a heart attack 😄. These little frustrations pile up, especially when you need to sign something as little as a contract transaction and you stay stuck for an hour. I want a PC that can give me optimum function such that when I need to do my online task, I don't end up spending the whole day on something that would have otherwise been achieved in a split second.
Quality gadgets are very expensive, and a functioning PC that can give me what I desire right now might be priced above a million naira. In order to cut down costs, sometimes we purchase a fairly used one. And a PC that would originally be sold for $1000 we can get for half the price or even less. I am still emphasizing buying quality gadgets for online tasks, most especially those into airdrop farming, where you get to do a lot of tasks on testnets/mainnets and all manner of activities.
Once I couldn't afford an expensive gadget, I got a PC I could start with, learning the basics of the lots available on #web3. My frustration now lies in a lot of things. Inability to complete tasks on time. PC is relatively slow, and I can remember spending a whole 24 hours screaming at the PC to assist me in achieving some tasks.
Not being able to purchase expensive gadgets doesn't mean that we should be left behind. With a fair system and some good software knowledge, anyone can navigate the crypto space with ease. Just this weekend I was lamenting how badly I desire computer software skill and knowledge. Possessing a software skill enables us to be able to achieve a lot while working on even the cheapest computer system.
My PC finally packed up this weekend and refused to come up completely. You need to see how helpless I am searching for a software engineer to assist me with debugging and flashing the PC. My little brother was also assisting, sending me these screenshots on how to refresh the PC, restart it, and try some short codes to see if the system will be better.
Alongside the PC, the wifi isn't functioning when I need to get it connected to my mobile network 🛜. I have to constantly use a USB or Bluetooth connection to be able to access the internet on the PC. A series of malfunctions caught up with the PC until I gave up working on it.
Today and tomorrow are public holidays, meaning that I won't get to work on my system for the next 72 hours because there is no computer engineer close by to assist me. We have but a few computer engineers around town, both software and hardware. There is a scarcity of skilled workers in such a career line in this part of the world even when everything is gradually turning digital.
Computer software skill is an important skill in our time, as a lot of life's activities are now turning digital. Having some 💻 basic computer skills will be a plus mark for me and everyone else around here. We can easily navigate through the PC and reset the software problems. Try not to have a heart attack if your PC is having software issues and not functioning appropriately.
