Good Evening community
So 2020 was A disaster and honestly, 2021 didn't look that great either as the UK was pretty much somewhat in A lockdown anyway.
I didn't bother making any new years resolutions to be perfectly honest I didn't have any and I just didn't see anything achievable especially with how depressing everything has been.
So in this post today I am going to be sharing some things I want to do this year and why I want to do those things.
whether those things are actually possible due to Coronavirus, Financial aspect with no job and general life problems etc I don't know but I guess we can try right.
So let's begin.
SWIMMING
So with all this lockdown nonsense its fair to say I have been very inactive not only that but I don't have any friends so sports is definitely A no. I also struggle with some back pain pretty often still waiting to get an Xray but the doctors ain't so good and say no and just offer painkillers which honestly makes me feel more depressed because I feel I can't do the things that I used to do because of the pain even though if I tried I probably could its just A "barrier" thing I guess.
OK, OK back to swimming lol so back in my school years I was an extremely active person, not the best physically wise because well I did love my junk food more than healthy alternatives but luckily I was able to keep up you could say. I mostly played football it was my favourite of course but I did participate in pretty much every sport available to me.
In my school, we had A nice big Swimming pool 25 metres long and if I can recall around 3-3.5 metres deep so definitely A good size pool and every winter we would have lots of swimming lessons. I was able to swim way before these lessons and already I was ahead of everyone else and fast forward to my final school years the school got taken over and became government-run (academy) which made it worse, to be honest, they did actually make use of the massive land the school was on and created tons of sporting events and eventually enter our school in big competitions.
Of course, Swimming came up and I along with 4 students were chosen to represent the school.
We had 4 weeks to train we would spend our lunch break in the pool and every Physical education (PE) lesson we would be separated from the group to do swimming instead of whatever sport the other group was doing.
Fast forward to the competition It was held at A University.
I qualified in the races and eventually moved to the final of the front stroke race and... WON!
I also qualified for the backstroke race and... WON! AGAIN!
Here are the two gold medals I received for my victories not real gold though as otherwise, I would have cashed them in by now for cash 😜
anyways back to the point of why I want to start swimming again in 2021.
It's been years since I have been swimming yes I swim in the sea back in the summer but actually swimming and not just once. I would like to consider signing up to A gym that has a pool because I could generally swim for hours on end doing lengths of the pool over and over.
With my back aches too I could see swimming benefitting me.
Ok enough about swimming.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Ok so there is no way on earth I can afford A DLSR camera or anything great like that however I am getting A new phone in the next 2-3 months it's not An iPhone but its A cheaper phone with A "decent" camera according to the web not amazing but for A "budget" phone it's rumoured to be good.
I have always been interested in photography though I never owned any type of camera apart from A mobile phone, I did eventually find A digital Camera in my attic that after googling I found that it was this
I mean I'm no expert so for all I know it could be good but I don't know.
I'll tell you what I'll post the specs of the phone camera im interested in getting and you "photography expert" can compare and let me know, sounds good?
Specs for the "budget" phone I am interested in getting.
VS
bottom line is which is the better device for photography and if none recommend A device that is but don't go over £350 eek.
The reason I want to get into photography again Is that I always enjoy it and I only stopped because Of not knowing If it was worth capturing such photos on "old outdated devices"
Here is a couple of my previous photography all taken using An iPhone 6 with some editing.
Creating short-form video content on hive
Ok so I did start this around the new year time but I have been slacking mainly due to my iPhone 6 struggling to hold its charge and dies as soon as it is unplugged but it is definitely something I want to get back into would be interesting to see if there will be A platform built on hive that will specialise in Short-form video uploads if not then I'm pretty happy using 3speak.
Well, that concludes my post for today thankyou so much for reading.
Please feel free to get in touch below.
If you are A photo guy who knows about camera's and specs please if you could consider answering my question in the post :)
