The Romans realize that the fall of the Roman Empire is approaching. The constant invasion of the Germans, Persians, Arabs, and Moors, famines, and epidemics made the destruction of Rome inevitable. The godly Romans clung to many gods and religions, praying for peace and prosperity, but could not fulfill their wishes. The ungodly Romans, on the other hand, were engrossed in drinking, sex, gladiators, and gambling, trying to forget fear and anxiety.
Despite the invasion, famine, and epidemic of foreigners, the Romans fought endless wars to protect the Roman Empire. When the Romans were in despair, anxiety, and confusion, a religion emerged that believed in a Jew as a god who rose from the dead. People mocked those who believed that Jesus had risen three days after his death, calling them Christians.
The Romans were free to choose all religions and gods in the world, but the Christians were crazy. "It is a lie that a person was resurrected three days after his death." The Romans persecuted Christianity, but Christianity grew in power and Emperor Constantine
allowed freedom of Christianity.I think Constantine predicted the future that Christianity would eventually rule Rome. In particular, Christianity had great control over the Germans. Roman emperors believed that when Rome collapsed, the Germans would become the new rulers of Europe. Like Julius Caesar, the Roman emperors were very good conspirators, political and diplomatic. They used Christianity as a tool to maintain their power and wealth. Julius Caesar's successors pretended to be Christians, but actually acted as pagans. Although the Roman emperors claimed themselves as Christians, the Roman Empire was actually a pagan nation. In fact, Christianity was the religion of the emperor.
Clever and cunning, Julius Caesar was pretending to be a Christian, but he was actually a pagan. Caesar tried to dominate Christianity and the church for the good of the Roman Emperor and Empire. However, sincere Christians have shouted that Rome would eventually perish. Augustine of Hippo claimed that the kingdom of the world, Rome, would be destroyed, but the eternal kingdom of God would be built. In the eyes of Christian fathers, the Roman emperor and ruling classes were merely fake Christians. So, there was a war between Christianity and paganism to seize the power of Rome.
The ugly war of Christian fanatics and pagans continued to fought. Rome was destroyed by internal and external problems, and finally a figure appeared to announce the end of the Roman Empire.
I was thrilled watching the European-made Total War: Attila-The Ashen Horse Trailer.
A hero who suddenly appeared in a world unknown to the Romans broke into the Roman emperor's table. Caesar, where the Romans served as gods, was already dead. The hero touched Caesar's body with a knife. Caesar's dignitaries are also dead. European pagans served Caesar's body as a god, but it was a decaying body for Attila.
Attila drank while laughing at the Europeans who served decaying Caesar as god.
The appearance of Attila drinking alone in front of the dead bodies of Caesar and the nobles is shocking. Attila, drinking while looking at the body of Caesar, who was actually a pagan but disguised as a Christian.
Even if they acted as seemingly sacred Christians, God's judgment was brought upon the Romans who were actually pagans. Attila's invasion destroyed Roman paganism, and only Roman Catholics survived.
Thus, Roman Catholics recorded Attila, the king of the Hun, as the scourge of God.
Attila shouted to the decaying Caesar. "I am Attila. I am the scourge of God.
