I was excited to attend my first fest on Hive mostly because the virtual environment that I was not used to hence meeting well known hiveans and friends.
It was a bit hard at first to imagine how things worked there. The General map to teleport to conferences and different places, the badge claim points and so on. I thought it would be some kind of "info desk" somewhere but it wasn't so I had to figure it all meanwhile I was hearing people talking around in groups.
For some unknown reason my mic didn't work but I didn't notice till came to me and took a quick shot that would share at the radio station discord (I imagine), I think he was talking about
. I would have loved to chat with him.
I finally got my badge:
Some naughty guys appeared sometimes lol, do you remember this one?
After all I started to wander about to see if I could find someone or something interesting. I found Yann from that was very kind and patient with me since I was a bit lost at first. We talked and enjoyed a good time together, we even had a musician around us that made it even better. It was worth the time and I'm sure we are keeping the contact since he's a nice guy with a really interesting project.
Thanks to Yann we also were able to take a "selfie" with a nice girl full of good vibes.
was there too and we had also a friendly talk together hes a nice guy full of energy, thanks for the pizza XD . We had a nice talk in mixed spanish and english and some laughs. All were kind and friendly.
My preferred momment was with a partner and a friend at The Terminal discord server. We chatted and laughed together mainly due to my horrible spoken english. Thanks for your patience and good mood!
We both decided to go to the art gallery and walked across gazing at all the good stuff of amizing artists: I loved 's paint but there were more that I would bring to my house if I could afford them. Surprisingly we did not made any selfie, what a pity!
I was able to teleport to the "Holograms Against Reality" space at some point but I didn't understand how that game worked so I stepped back to not bother those that were just enjoying it. I there found but was in game so no chance to chat but we used the written chat to greet.
Back again to the starting point I saw who I greetted while she was talking with
and other people. All were kind with me and I left them since I didn't want to break the conversation.
Close to the fire place I found who I found at the begining but was not able to talk to her due to my mic issue. This time I was decided to greet he and I did. I somewhat broke the chat she was having with a guy whose nick I couldn't catch who kindly let me get in the conversation. Both were kind and we also had some laughs together trying to take selfies. Thanks and sorry again for the interruption ;)
When I was to reach the "games" place I noticed that was there alone so stopped to greet her but it seems that she was afk so I took a "selfie" for her to know that I tried the contact ;)
After wandering about and throwing away some round pillows (haha, love it!) I teleported to a space that was called somethin like "Hide and find" that seemed quite funny. There was no one there and I found no way to come back or get out of that space so I quitted the program and when I tried to rejoin it said the event was finished, ups!
My thoughts
I found the experience rather interesting and funny but a bit confussing at a times. I somewhat felt lost mainly at the begining. There's a learning curve to get used to how things are distributed and how they work.
I think it would be great to have some sort of "info" point where someone could help you with issues and stuff.
I couldn't attend the first day and I could only be there half part of the second day due to my dad health issues that sent me to the hospital at friday afternoon while I was in my job. First things first so I joined as soon as I was able to.
I lean towards live experience what is often known as IRL. I look forward to attend the next fest as I think is a great valuable experience and opportunity to meet those dear friends as well as those famous people of our blockchain hence meeting new contacts and strengthen the existing ones.
It's definetely a lovely experience and hope it will grow and improve in the future.
Thanks to all that organised the event and specially to for the great job and success.
Could it be without music? nooo
