Good afternoon good afternoon, I hope everyone is having a wonderful and blessed day! It’s nice and sunny out today beautiful weather to go fishing, if only I didn’t have to work lol. Speaking of work it’s getting closer and closer to the day I become a full time employee at Cummins. I’ve been there since the beginning of January! I look forward to the opportunities that’ll be open to me when i am no longer a temporary! Before I had gotten this job,I was job hopping like crazy, had a terrible attitude and outlook on so many things. I was so negative. I have my dad for guiding me to be more positive about everything. “There is no trying, only doing.” He drilled that into my head in the past couple years and it took me a while to use it to accomplish what I have now! Am I rich? No, am I happy yes! Not working for so long and being able to be here for the time I have, I feel much more accomplished then I have in the past couple years. Even when things are rough, I always look towards the greater good that is yet to come!
There is a certain job I’m looking into doing here at Cummins Filtration. I’ve had multiple people recommending me the job, because of how quickly I learn and pick up on things. I actually enjoy working here! The job I’m wanting is a Pleater operator. What is a pleater operator? Well it’s one of the most important jobs on every single line in the factory, each line has one. Without the Pleater operator, the whole line wouldn’t be able to run. So that’s a big responsibility! The pleater itself is a machine that generates the media(what filters are made out of). It’s heat presses the media together to generate that accordion look to it in order for it to be created into the filter itself. It’s pretty neat. The physical part of the job isn’t too bad. I know how to change the rolls for the pleater. Only thing I need to learn is the computer part of the job and I’ll have it all down! I would have accomplished what most people don’t want to even try to do! For that I am grateful and happy for my work ethics! With me becoming a pleater operator I will also be a licensed forklift operator! I love driving forklift hehe. It helps already having a couple years of experience driving them already! Bonussssss haha. Keep working for what you want!
