HO HO HO!
Hope it's not too late for another Christmas post! I mean, it's never too late for Christmas as it's like 360+ days to the next one! Well, hope I'm not too early to post some Christmas gift post!? #lol No, it's not that common for Christmas celebration in Thailand that I need to keep posting about it like 10+ times though, it's quite common in the US for the family gathering during Christmas. In fact, it's probably the most fun time I have had spending Christmas anywhere in during my journey!
Gifts, lots of gifts!
Last year and the year before, I had a chance to spend time during Christmas with my bf's family. Lots of food, lots of mingles and oh! lots of gifts! Well, not exactly for me.. Mostly those are for the kids. Grownups also got some gift exchanging but just one per each just for fun.
Even the gifts are for the kids, we're already so happy watching them being so excited opening the gift one by one. How they act so surprised when they get something they've always wanted. How they act so awkward when something they think it's lame was given.. #lol

I still remember the facial reaction when the kid open my gift and found out it was a t-shirt. If they can say bad words, they probably would have said something like, 'what the f is this?*'.
I really thought it was cool!
A week before Christmas, I called their parents and asked what their fav cartoon characters or superheroes are. Then I have each one specially made by screening their fav character plus their name on the t-shirts. It's really one and only kind of gift but I bet kids don't value them as much as how much fun any object can give them.
Dinosaur.. Grrrrrr!
Well, the lesson learned! After seeing a few awkward faces after the presents were opened and also, spending a few nights with them during the holiday, I have learned that they love dinosaur.
I mean, it's not too surprising. It's something they have never seen in real life. It looks different, some flies, some swim (do they?) so, it's some kinds of mysterious animal they will never be able to see, perhaps, forever so... I think I get why they are so obsessed.
No more t-shirts this time! #lol I spent a few hours browsing Amazon for the keyword #kids, #dinosaur, #jurassic or those sources of things. One after another and I finally got 3 gifts for 3 kids. No specific one go to any specific kids. They 3 will be all sharing the gifts together because each one has its own use cases and fun! (and + knowledge, of course!)

As cute as it could get and this is another kind of a toy or backpack I would sure love to have as a kid. I remember I was so obsessed with rolling backpack due to the fact that I can both have it on my shoulders or drag it around when I want to. This one is way cool because there's their favorite creature attached to it. I would imagine mine a little differently.. something like, any of the 'Powerpuff girls', perhaps? That's it for my gifts for them for the year! This time I did it a little differently. Instead of picking it from the present mind what I would like, I bring back my child's memory and imagine what I'd like if I were still a kid!

A few hours after the gift opening, my bf message me the kids love the gifts! They're happy and so am I!
I so hope they enjoy all the gifts I carefully picked for them this year and really use them through out the years ahead.
