In the early hours of Saturday morning I went to bed late after a family meeting, early I had agreed to meet a great friend of mine on Sunday, taking advantage of her visit to the capital.
She lives in the outskirts of the city, used to come and go for work commitments, she gets up very early every day and arrives at the meeting point before the appointed time.
That is why on Sunday I lovingly told my body to sleep deeply and wake up by itself at 10:00 am. So wise and punctual my biological clock wakes me up 10 minutes before the hour - better yet - I get ready and meditate before looking at the notifications on my cell phone. Indeed, there were the messages from my dear friend confirming her arrival in Caracas.
She would meet her family in a church to honor her father's memory. The meeting was extended, she had lunch with them and even a snack.
I was tempted to make her something simple to eat at my house but because of the time, I figured she couldn't and that our meeting would be a flash, so I decided to surprise her with her favorite drink; a coffee.
While waiting for the message for the meeting, I started to heat water, put some cinnamon sticks and three spoonfuls of coffee in the strainer, -mmm what a divine smell- that mixture of cinnamon and freshly brewed coffee, now I add a little milk and whisk it until I get a delicious frothy coffee with cinnamon flavor.
For me, I prepare a tea with lemon and malojillo. I put it in my thermos, together with the sparkling coffee, the sugar and the pewter glass, I arrange them in my bag and I'm ready to meet my friend...
We arranged to meet downtown at a busy mini-mall, which due to the hour and the rainy weather was not as crowded as it usually is the rest of the week.
When I arrived at the place there she was with her red mouth and her big smile, with open arms she received me, with that hug full of warmth and good vibes we received each other.
We sat in a very quiet place, I served him coffee, took out my thermos, we tasted every sip, in every mmm how delicious, in the laughter, in the conversation, we were entertained. The people passing by were happy with the energy of those two who lit up the place.
Time so allied, slowly turned its needles, under the green leaves of the plants that accompanied us, we toasted with coffee and tea thanking for the present moment that allows us to meet.
