Hello everyone, good morning! Yesterday I received two little gifts to feed my eternal love for coffee. One was from my princess, and the other was from me.
Starting with the gift my daughter gave me, it's a promotional mug that was part of the kit for the Farmatodo Race held this past weekend in Caracas. The kit included lots of medications, personal items, snacks, and various gifts… the mug was in there, and she gave it to me along with several samples of topical pain relievers for sprains and muscle aches, hahaha, because she knows I always have a new ache or pain during every workout.
It also came with a cap and a towel, but I loved my mug the most because it adds to my collection, and that excites me. And since I didn't want to use it without a new cup of coffee, yesterday when I went to the supermarket, I bought another brand of coffee, but this one is well-known and has been tried and tested for many years. It wasn't one of my favorites, but it's well-known throughout the country, and many consider it very good… and I can vouch for that, it's just a bit strong for my taste.
Fama de América reminds me of that slogan: “Fama de América, the best coffee.” I can even read it with the jingle from the TV commercial. I remember that about 30 years ago, several varieties of this brand came out with additional flavors, and I bought almost all of them. There was cinnamon, vanilla, chocolate, and amaretto. I tried those four; I don't know if there were others.
Before going to the supermarket, I stopped at the bakery in the Rahme Shopping Center, where they make delicious coffee and breakfasts. I ordered a café con leche, and look at the lovely phrase I got. I agree with it, because being with a cup of coffee always makes me happy.

Hola a todos, muy buenos días. Ayer tuve doble regalito para alimentar mi amorcito eterno por el café. Uno me lo hizo mi princesa, y el otro me lo hice yo.
Comenzando por el detalle que mi hija me obsequió, se trata de una taza promocional que formaba parte del kit de la Carrera Farmatodo que se realizó este fin de semana en Caracas, y en el que venían muchos medicamentos, cositas personales, chucherías, y regalitos variados… ahí dentro venía la taza, y ella me la obsequió junto con varias muestras médicas de analgésicos locales para torceduras, y dolores musculares, jajajajaja, porque sabe que en cada rutina de entrenamiento ando con un dolor nuevo.
También venía una gorra y un pañito, pero mi taza la amé, porque aumenta mi colección y eso me emociona. Y como no quería estrenarla sin un café nuevo, ayer que fui al súper mercado, compré otra marca de café, pero ésta si es conocida y probada desde hace muchos años. No era una de mis favoritas, pero sí es reconocida en todo el país, y para muchos es muy buena… y lo certifico, sólo que es un poco fuerte para mi gusto.
Fama de América me recuerda aquel eslogan: “Fama de América el mejor café”, hasta lo leo con la musiquita que tenía la propaganda de Tv. Recuerdo que hace como 30 años, salieron varios ejemplares de esta marca con sabores adicionales, y los compré casi todos. Estaba el de canela, el de vainilla, chocolate y amaretto. Esos cuatro los probé, no sé si había otros.
Antes de llegar al súper mercado, me detuve en la panadería del CC Rahme donde preparan un café y unos desayunos muy ricos. Pedí un café con leche, y miren qué bonita frase me tocó. Coincido con ésta, porque estar en compañía de un café, siempre me hace feliz.
