Hi! Hello! π
Welcome to another blog post of my An Apple Eats blog series.
Today I want to share to you what I look forward to every year when it's almost time to change season, from summer to autumn.
Starbucks japan has started rolling out again their pumpkin spice latte just before autumn equinox. It's already been a few weeks on their menu and I have been enjoying this drink once a week when I'm scheduled to go to the office. Yes, that's how much I like this drink and it's not even available throughout the year. And yes that's how an irresponsible spender I am, you may judge as you please π€£
You may have noticed there's "Almond γγ«γ―" written, γγ«γ― means milk. I am lactose intolerant so I have to switch almond milk, and it's an additional 54yen just for changing the milk. For this size (grande) plus almond milk change cost, the total would be 668yen πΈ.
Of course this drink can be ordered hot or iced. I always prefer hot (I don't know why please don't ask me π) but I also wanted to try the iced version. So one weekend after my doctor's appointment, I stopped by the Starbucks branch near the train station going home. As I didn't have time to eat breakfast, I also ordered their sausage and egg muffin sandwich. I had the choice to have my drink served either on their glass or disposable cup. I opted for their glass because it looks nice and one less cup to throw π
For this meal , I don't know if this is even a meal π - I paid 1341yen. I can probably buy 2 lunch bentos from the kombini stores with this amount but here I am spending like I have unlimited money ππ
Did I mention I'm lactose intolerant? Unfortunately this time, I ordered directly through the cashier. I usually use mobile order but I decided to checkout the food display that day. When I gave my order I forgot to say I want it changed to almond milk π I think lactose intolerant people would know how bad this went π
Anyway, in a few days, another seasonal drink will be out - a chocolate drink. I'm so excited to try it and can't wait for the winter drinks to come out as well. Should I blog about it too? Let me know if you're interested.
Thank you for reading and see you on my next blog.
