Today I would like to share with you the tasting of another Colombian coffee that I have purchased these last months with the intention of continuing with the tasting of the different coffees that are produced in Colombia and that make this country to be considered, by tradition, a coffee country par excellence.
In this opportunity I would like to talk to you about the roasted and ground coffee Viejo Molino. In its variety, there is a mild, medium and strong type. I have been trying the mild type to get my palate accustomed to this different flavor of coffee, after trying others of higher quality. It is possible that later on I will try the medium type until I reach the strong type.
As for its price, it is more economical than the ones I have tried before, for example, the Juan Valdez or the Oma that I love. You can get the 500grs. pack for 5,950 Colombian pesos, which is affordable for weekly or biweekly shopping budgets.
The Viejo Molino coffee is a 100% pure, roasted and ground coffee that feels very smooth to the palate. As a coffee lover, I like the experience of drinking this beverage to be multisensory, that is, I like to deeply perceive the aroma of coffee and that this aroma invites me to savor a steaming cup in my perfect coffee moments, which are in the mornings to wake up and fill me with energy and in the afternoons to take the necessary pause that will allow me to vigorously continue my activities.
As I love to enjoy a good cup of coffee sip by sip, I am attentive when I try a new one to several characteristics that I have learned over time. This is that the flavor is deep and long lasting. Many times, I have had coffee that does not taste like coffee, it is as if I am just drinking hot water flavored with coffee. The Viejo Molino coffee has a good flavor, it also lingers in the mouth, it has body. Also, I can say that its acidity is low. According to those in the know, the low acidity is due to the fact that the bean has been roasted very well, which, when it is like that, I like it very much. I can say that how inexpensive it may be does not change the quality of this coffee. So I recommend it.
So far, I have liked this Viejo Molino coffee very much. I will continue to buy it until I discover another of the great variety of Colombian coffees that I have seen offered in supermarkets, to continue tasting the different flavors and to share my experience of the pleasure of drinking good Colombian coffee with you.

Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes la degustación de otro café colombiano que he comprado estos últimos meses con la intención de continuar con la cata de los distintos cafés que se producen en Colombia y que hacen que este país sea considerado, por tradición, un país cafetalero por excelencia.
En esta oportunidad quiero hablarles del café tostado y molido Viejo Molino. En su variedad, existe el tipo suave, tipo medio y tipo fuerte. He estado probando el tipo suave para ir acostumbrando mi paladar a este sabor distinto de café, luego de probar otros de mayor calidad. Es posible que más adelante pruebe el tipo medio hasta llegar al fuerte.
En cuanto a su precio, es más económico que los que he probado antes, por ejemplo, el Juan Valdez o el Oma que me encantan. Se puede conseguir el paquete de 500grs. por 5.950 pesos colombianos, lo cual es asequible para los presupuestos de compras semanales o quincenales.
El café Viejo Molino es un café 100% puro, tostado y molido, que se siente muy suave al paladar. Como amante del café, me gusta que la experiencia de tomar esta bebida sea multisensorial, es decir, me gusta percibir profundamente el aroma propio del café y que este aroma me invite a saborear una humeante tacita en mis momentos perfectos de café que son en las mañanas para despertar y llenarme de energía y en las tardes para tomar la pausa necesaria que me permitirá continuar vigorosamente mis actividades.
Como me encanta disfrutar sorbo a sorbo de una buena taza de café, estoy atenta cuando pruebo uno nuevo a varias características que he aprendido a lo largo del tiempo. Esto es que el sabor sea profundo y duradero. Muchas veces, he tomado café que no sabe a café, es como si sólo estuviera tomando agua caliente saborizada a café. El café Viejo Molino tiene un buen sabor, además perdura en la boca, tiene cuerpo. También, puedo decir que su acidez es baja. Según los entendidos, la baja acidez se debe a que el grano se ha tostado muy bien, lo cual, cuando es así, me cae muy bien. Puedo decir que lo económico que puede ser no cambia la calidad de este café. Así que lo recomiendo.
Hasta ahora, me ha gustado mucho este café Viejo Molino. Lo seguiré comprando hasta que descubra otro de la gran variedad de cafés colombianos que he visto quw se ofrece en los supermercados, para seguir catando los diferentes sabores y compartir mi experiencia sobre el placer de tomar buen café colombiano con ustedes.
