Since I started to hang out with my seniors, I have discovered that one of their hideouts is a cafe. I have been there for a few times but I never get to take a lot of photo when I was with them. One afternoon after our exam, I went there with a friend who wants to stroll around the area wherein there is also a park nearby that is now known to public.
Some beautifications in the place are almost finished, and a lot of people from other places and differents schools, including the locals, are often having a visit to unwind. The place is great for its peaceful nature but this cafe is also as great as that park.
The cafe is located near the exit of the park, at where some beautifications are currently ongoing. In front of it is the river going to the sea and an alternative route of small fishermen in the place. You can even hear the waves clearly at where we were standing. The road weren't yet done, still, it is passable for tricycles and other motorcycles.
The weather is hot but it is taken over by the cool winds. It is just too good for relaxing that I felt so drowsy as I'm walking towards the cafe. Who wouldn't be needing coffee in this state? The owners have a good taste in choosing this place. Everybody will need to take coffee when taking a stroll here.
The place is made of bamboo, light materials, Nipa Roofings, and isn't that big. Despite that, it doesn't lessen the comfortability and the chilling vibes that the ambience of the place gives off.
I feel like sleeping as soon as I stepped inside the cafe, so we immediately ordered a cup of native coffee and burger to stuff out stomachs since we didn't where to go for lunch here yet.
Just scanning the place while waiting for our orders. As I have said, I have been here for a lot of times of already but this is the first time that I appreciate this place more than before. There isn't that much customers yet, and only a table was occupied at the other side of the cafe. People usually rushed here around 3 pm up until midnight because they allow people to drink booze and liquor here.
I think the artwork accentuate the place more. It was almost the highlight but these instruments took over the limelight from it. Customers are free to play these instruments and perform without paying any cents to them. If the other shops are asking payments for every song when customers wants to use the Karaoke machine, in here, it's totally free.
Just ask for permission in the staff who is on duty, connect your phone's bluetooth to their speakers, play a Karaoke version of a song from Youtube, and sing on the microphone. Now, that's how you sing as much as you wanted without dropping a coin in a Karaoke machine.
If you have read my previous blog, I have also mentioned it there. I just don't have any video of them singing at the center.
Here's my native black coffee after few minutes. Perfect timing since I was about to close my eyes really. It's nice to sleep in this kind of relaxing place but it's kind of embarassing to do it in a shop. As usual, I don't put any sugar in my coffee because if I do, it would have sour-like taste mixed in the my coffee. Perhaps, my taste buds just got used to the bitterness of coffee that it wouldn't register too much sweetness anymore.
Now, here are their burgers. The patty is thick and tastier. Probably, it is a homemade one since the taste differ from the ones in the market. If only they put lettuce and sliced tomatoes with it, that would be better. But, anyway, it's all good and we're stuffed after we're done with it.
We just stayed for a while to digest all that we ate and drank, then set off to stroll at the park before going home. This place is 30-minute away from Bacolod and we will need to take the bus, but it is worthwhile of a visit! Probably, I'll be here again next week to hang out again with my seniors since this is one of their hideouts.
