"A cup of coffee shared with a friend is a taste of happiness and a time well spent."

Another school year came but unfortunately, the group is incomplete. Some of us are now studying at different schools and wearing other uniforms which they are now taking other courses. Despite the odds, at this moment, our circle was reunited to have a cup of coffee and entertain ourselves with conversations and food while at it.
Days before, in our group chat, we've planned to meet if our free time aligned. Since and
are now studying at different university, they barely see them except for me because we're staying in the same dormitory. Fortunately, we have the same vacant time in the morning which is around 8am — 11am. As planned, we agreed to have coffee and breakfast together in front of their university. It's not that far from our campus, so it's convenient for all of us.
The university is situated near the market where dormitories, wholesale and retail stores, public transport terminals and series of food chains and coffeeshops. It's a nest of business establishments. Yet, of all coffeeshops around, we've found one that caught our attention.
We're united at Cafe Deandro! ☕️
Some cafe here are a bit pricey and there are affordable ones but those were fully occupied. As we looked around, we saw this cafe which offers variety of drinks and meals.
Their menu prices range from these rates according to:
- Cold drinks: Php 20 - Php 69 (you can asked for hot black coffee or latte)
- Student Meals: all Php 65
- All day breakfast: Php 65 - Php 95
As usual, I want a hot black coffee and Joshua did the same with breakfast meals. The other kids ordered Nachos and Fries, with Strawberry Latte and Iced Choco. The cafe only have 4 to 5 tables inside but has a long counter with stools at the side. It's not that spacious but cozy and student friendly.
It took time for them to serve our orders since the cafe only has one cook and barista at the same time, then only one assistant who takes the orders, take the payments, serve the orders and clean the tables. One time, while waiting, the assistant was scolded because the foods were interchanged with other tables and as well as the queueing of orders. We felt bad for him since he was too busy that he mixed it up and I think it was a small mistake after all, but the cook were pressured by the volume of order, too.
For the meantime, while our foods and drinks weren't served, we took the time to get straight to our main goal and asked the couple about their new experiences at their new university. We also shared the new changes and the current happenings at the campus.
After exchanging a bunch of stories with each other, our orders were served. And I just noticed it later that my breakfast wasn't included on the list of orders that they handed to the Assistant. I was wondering why was everybody almost finished their meals but all I still had was my coffee. I was already starving! They added it late, so everybody waited for me to finish eating before leaving the cafe and report to our respective campuses.
No hard feelings there, our mishaps just only fuels the laughter. We came there happy to be reunited, and left with a smiling face. Those few hours that we spent was enough to create a core memory that will be treasured in the days to come.
That's the end of another coffee experience from me. Thanks for reading!
