Hello, Hivers and coffee lovers!
I don't know about you, but there are days when I feel more adventurous than others to try new flavors and combinations. To break away from traditional ones and try something new, and of course, that includes coffee beverages. Yesterday, I felt like this after a busy day.
In the afternoon, my son, who is about to get his driving license in a couple of weeks, asked me to go for a drive. We went to a place where you can buy organic vegetables. I have never been there before, but a friend recommended it. The best thing about the place is that the veggies are harvested on the spot. They're not cheap, but it's nice to see that what you're buying is harvested right in front of you, so everything is super fresh.
I will for sure tell you more about the experience in detail in another post, probably for Market Friday. But when we left there, we were super hot, these days the temperature has risen. And we decided to go for a drink, a coffee, of course, always a coffee.
I usually shy away from commercial chain coffee shops. But there is one fashionable here, although it is not the kind of place I like the most, the coffee is quite good. And my son wanted to have a frappuccino, and they are delicious there.
I love their Moka Frappuccino. Being a coffee lover, I love that it has a strong flavor and is not too sweet. But when I was about to order it, I looked at the menu, and as I felt like trying something different, I asked for a Frappuccino that was sold under the name of Caribe. The ingredients included mint and coconut essence.
The combination of flavors sounded interesting. If there is a combination I absolutely love is chocolate and mint. And I've tried mint and coffee before, and it's not bad at all. So adding coconut to the equation made me curious. I love coconut and the chances of me not liking something with coconut in it are almost non-existent. And I decided to give it a try.
The drink turned out to be quite refreshing, perhaps a very mild coffee flavor for my taste, but a good combination for a cold coffee drink. I could imagine myself drinking it at the beach.
It was worth trying it even though when I come back, I will probably go back to my Moka favorite. At least, until a new combination of flavors catches me to the adventure of trying it.
Thank you for reading.
