One of my favourite activities, when I am off work, is to go out for a walk with friends. Our go-to destination is Cordova, Cebu’s Centennial Highway. Because we are frequently here, we would often find different street food favourites sold in tiny stalls. What caught our attention last time we went there though is this motorcycle with a makeshift coffee stall.
The barista is friendly. Everything about his coffee is laidback and straightforward.
The coffee is a welcome addition to the vibes during afternoon walks.
Each serving is sold for only ₱25.
It is interesting to note that he is offering the barako coffee infused with fruits or vegetables. Here are the options:
Kape + Luya (Ginger) = Perfect for people with cough
Kape + Guyabano (Soursop) = It is believed to help detoxify the body
- Kape + Gabon (Sambong leaves) = This is also known to help people with cough
- Kape + Kalabo (Oregano) = This is another herb known to help people with cough
- Kape + Malunggay (Moringga) = This is known as a superfood with loads of health benefits
- Kape + Tanglad (Lemon grass) = This is known to help people with blood pressure problems
Each cup also comes with a bamboo stirrer! Cute.
Although we were not able to get his name, the barista told us that he frequents the area in the morning to cater to the morning joggers and sometimes, in the afternoon like how we found him that time.
He also mentioned that he sets up his coffee stand on Transcentral Highway sometimes.
And why Drunk Barista?
According to him, he is a bothered soul who loves coffee.
And to make sure that I enjoy my coffee, I took a seat by the shore and with this beautiful sunset backdrop.
