It seems that my sense of smell for detecting places where good coffee is sold and can be consumed is being refined.
Today, while walking through the provincial capital of Pinar del Río, I discovered another of those places that seduce the palate not only for the quality of the dark drink, but also for the romantic and cozy atmosphere of it.
As I am also quite addicted to books, when passing in front of a bookstore, my attention was caught by seeing a small sign through the glassware. which, without much aesthetic bombast, promoted the sale of brewed coffee.
The promotion written freehand and with colored pencils reads: "Café Ashe, a coffee for gossip." A slogan quite loaded with humor, but that advances the idea that it is going to be an infusion consumed in a quite intimate and whispering atmosphere.
The place itself is at the back of the Viet Nan Heroico bookstore (inside the premises, of course) on Martí Street, or as all of us from Pinar del Río know it: Real Street. But before reaching the sip of coffee, there is a small religious goods store that bears that same name.
It is a perfect triad: book, coffee, religion.
I can attest without error that the coffee is exquisite, in addition to the service with friendly treatment in a decorative, intimate and welcoming environment, where the light of the bohemian bar and the mid-tone and classical-romantic music complement the desire to stay in an environment that contrasts with the hectic life a few meters from the comfortable environment on the street.
Between the book area and the religious articles store, there is an enigmatic area of darkness that gives it that aspect of stillness and spiritual recollection. "The gossip" seems to be more about intellectual entertainment, since the person who served me at the service confirmed that local poets and artists gather there in a kind of bohemia from Pinar del Río.
Before reaching the bar, there are tables where, in addition to the delicious infusion, you can consume other offers that can be enjoyed there. And at the end of the place, behind a wooden seat that resembles a columbine, I noticed a kind of booth, where you can enjoy a good coffee with much more peace of mind.
I entered the place at an intermediate time when there were almost no customers and I was able to chat peacefully with the enthusiastic bartender, who accompanied me with her talk, talking about things about the religious items store and the qualities of the coffee. Of course, the two offers are joint family businesses.
I am happy because I discovered another delicious place in my city to have good coffee, and I have no doubt that I have others left to discover.

Tal parece que mi olfato para detectar los lugares donde se expenden y se puede consumir un buen café se está refinando.
Hoy, de paseo por la capital provincial de Pinar del Río, he descubierto otro de esos lugares que seducen al paladar no solo por la calidad de la oscura bebida, sino también por el ambiente romántico y acogedor del mismo.
Como soy bastante adicto también a los libros, al pasar frente a una librería, llamó mi atención ver a través de la cristalería un pequeño cartel que, sin mucha rimbombancia estética, promovía la venta de café colado.
En la promoción escrita a mano alzada y con lápices de colores reza: "Café Ashe, un café para el chismeeee". Un eslogan bastante cargado de humor, pero que adelanta la idea de que va a ser una infusión consumida en un ambiente bastante íntimo y de cuchicheo.
El lugar en sí está al fondo de la librería Viet Nan Heroico (dentro del local, por supuesto) en la calle Martí, o como todos los pinareños la conocemos: Calle Real. Pero antes de llegar al sorbo de café, hay una pequeña tienda de artículos religiosos que lleva ese mismo nombre.
Es una triada perfecta: libro, café, religión.
Doy fe sin errata de que el café es exquisito, además del servicio con trato afable en un ambiente decorativo, intimista y acogedor, donde la luz del bar de bohemia y la música a medio tono y clásica-romántica hacen el complemento al deseo de quedarse en un entorno que contrasta con la vida agitada a pocos metros del confortable ambiente en la calle.
Entre el área de los libros y la tienda de artículos religiosos, hay una enigmática zona de penumbra que le da ese aspecto de quietud y recogimiento espiritual. "El chismeeee", más bien parece ser de farándula intelectual, pues me confirmó el que me atendió en el servicio que allí se reúnen en una especie de bohemia pinareña, poetas y artistas de la localidad.
Antes de llegar a la barra, hay mesas para, además de la deliciosa infusión, consumir otras ofertas que allí se >pueden disfrutar. Y al final del local, detrás de un asiento de madera que semeja una columbina, noté como una especie de reservado, donde se puede disfrutar de un buen café con mucha más tranquilidad.
Entré al lugar en un horario intermedio en el que casi no había clientes y pude conversar apaciblemente con la entusiasta cantinera, que me acompañó con su plática, conversando sobre cosas de la tienda de artículos religiosos y las cualidades del café. Claro que las dos ofertas son negocios conjuntos de la familia.
Estoy contento porque descubrí otro lugar de exquisiteces en mi ciudad para tomar buen café, y no dudo que me quedan otros por descubrir.
