Well I’m defiantly not in Costa. Bacha coffee house was supposedly originally established in Marrakesh in 1910 and is styled on the lines of a Moroccan coffee house
with waiter's in white jackets and an air of superiority I suppose it’s better than woking in Starbucks.
They boast over 200 varieties of coffee you get a book set out by region and country it takes a lot to chose thankfully I know what I like.
Here is just one page to give you an idea.
The Iced coffee comes with a glass straw none of your plastic or cheap paper straws here.
And to cap off the opulence it arrives on a silver coaster very swish.
Even the iced water comes in a silver goblet.
If you order hot coffee it comes in a polished brass pot.
And the waiter pour it standing from about 2 feet above the cup. Impressive but I didn’t get the chance to catch it on camera the first time so I had to order another pot I’m going to be buzzing for hours.
Food choices? There are lots of impressive cakes including cheesecakes and other sticky’s. I had the lemon cake you get two slices but they will let you mix and match the cakes.
Lunch wise I had the Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon rather than ham and very nice it was too.
The poached eggs were perfect.
And not a lot left by the time I’d finished.
Certainly not the cheapest coffee in the mall to put it in to perspective just the coffee cost more than my lunch yesterday but was quite cheap even by my low standards. Beef curry and chickpeas with 2 iced teas for just over a fiver 😁. But the taxi drivers road side cafe didn’t have the ambiance of the Cafe Bacha or air conditioning.
So Hivers if you fancy a coffee treat and your in KL for the Hive Fest make your way to the Suria Mall and the Cafe Bacha it’s on the left as you enter through the KLCC park entrance.
