Coffee has been a part of my very existence. It's an addiction. Albeit a less risky one. I'll always have coffee when I am anxious or paranoid and I feel this calming effect on my nerves. You could find me with a cup of coffee every now and then since I am almost always working, coffee has been my assistant.
This will help you understand why I felt on the edge when a new influential billionaire invented a new form of bug-based 'coffee'. You could say this shouldn't be a problem and it wasn't because insect-based food is said to be rich in protein, low in carbohydrates, and contain essential minerals that help the body function effectively. This should have been a bright side to my coffee addiction as I would be getting these nutrients in high quantities.
The only problem was that this new billionaire had his pocket in mind and did not care about anyone else. So he kept on buying out all of the competition. This created a monopoly in the coffee brewing industry and as such the price of coffee skyrocketed.

The price was soon going to affect me even though I have a deep pocket, it would only be a matter of time before my deep pocket runs dry as a result of the compounding nature of money. The higher I pay for my coffee, the less money I'll have left, and if left to the magic of compounding, I'll be out of money right before I know it.
With this in mind, I needed a plan. I needed my coffee to be there for me when I want it, but at the same time, I wanted to make sure I don't spend more than my budget can take without running out of funds quickly.
It was on one of those occasions of discussing the rate at which the price of coffee was skyrocketing with my friends that Mr. Sam came up with a story that helped me save my daily dose and never have to worry about the price again. He knew how much I loved coffee and he was kind enough to talk about it with me.
"Miss Temi, how are you coping with the price of coffee these days?", Mr. Sam said once we exchanged pleasantries
I sighed, then responded, "It's really affecting my budget, Mr. Sam, I will be honest with you".
"I know it will not be easy for you seeing that you take coffee almost every day", Mr. Sam said out of pity and concern
"I wish I could stop, I mean, this is the point where I should throw my hands in the air and stop, but coffee is already a part of my existence, I don't know what to do", I said almost teary but holding up a sad face
" shh, don't be sad, I hear there is a family who intends to move out of the country and they have tons of coffee seeds in their storehouse, they .... ", I cut him before he landed
"Are they looking for potential buyers?", I asked excitedly while my eyes lit up
"Yes, Miss Temi", Mr. Sam said
I couldn't hold back my joy, I was so happy I thanked Mr. Sam multiple times for sharing this news with me. I did not hesitate to get the contact address and contact numbers of the said family. By morning, I was already at their doorstep ready for bargains.
It turns out, they did have lots of coffee seeds as Mr. Sam mentioned and since they were traveling abroad, they did not want to take so much with them. According to them, it was a fresh start, and they wanted the past to remain in the past. And their coffee was a part of their past.
I was happy to get the coffee seed for a good price, and I also bought their storehouse which was located a few kilometers from me. So I can preserve the seeds and they accepted my offer. With the way things were looking, I could already feel it in my bones that our new billionaire might pay me a visit if I decided to start up a coffee company (you can't blame me, there really was a lot of coffee seed that I dreaded if I'll be able to finish them by myself).
I did not plan on selling, just as the couple wanted to store them up for rainy days and to beat inflation, I was willing to do the same. As a result of this move, I had a storehouse filled with my favorite seed with which I was sure brewing and consuming my daily dose will longer be a problem.
