On our way to Charmouth to do a bit of glamping in a pod, we called in at West Bay in Dorset for a quick drink.
In the bay, there was a lovely little harbour with small pleasure boats and fishing boats and shingle beaches that weren't very kind to the feet. Luckily, there were a few cafes to choose from but unfortunately, not one with a nice sea view. Nonetheless, as it was sunny, we chose Sammii G's Cafe and Ice Cream Parlour as we could sit outside with the pooch.
They sold just about everything. Unfortunately, they were a little short staffed, so we had to wait a while to get our black americano and a refreshing chocolate milk shake. The person doing the milk shakes was to put it politely .... SLOW. Good job they don't work in Costa as they wouldn't last a minute.
Anyway, good things come to those who wait as they say. The drinks were very good.
I think the cafe was one of the few establishments that didn't close during covid times, setting up a click and collect instead, so I will give them credit for that.
The only problem is, every time we have something to eat or drink, a pair of eyes are always watching us!
