On a recent trip to Clumber Park in Nottinghamshire, we found a lovely place to have a cup of coffee al fresco style at the mobile café, Lake Brew. As it's name suggests it was situated by the lake, so just right for a mid walk rest.
Prior to Lake Brew being here, you could purchase a coffee from Beryl, the Landrover. This was Beryl one summer. Unfortunately, as Clumber Park is owned by the National Trust, they introduced their own mobile café, Lake Brew, so Beryl got ousted. It was sad that after four years, Beryl had to depart, but the dust has settled now.
Lake Brew is open every day from 10.00 am - 15.00 pm. It's a nice café, with plenty of seating and thankfully, some nice clean toilets nearby. They also sell light bites, toasties, cakes, and cold drinks. We'd taken our own sandwiches, so we just had a cappuccino in a very attractive National Trust paper cup. 😆
There was plenty of cyclists out today as the sun was back out. I think the pooch had his eye on the prize!
You can't beat the lovely views over the lake. Trouble is, once you sit down it's very difficult to start up again. It was very tempting to just sit there and watch the world go by.
