Just recently I saw this Starbucks special,”Hojicha Meets Caramel Frappuccino”. I really love hojicha (roasted green tea) and thought, “If hojicha is meeting with caramel frap, I’d really like to join and be part of the discussion”.
I was actually on my way to the supermarket so I just took a snap of it and knew I’d be getting it later on.
A Few Days Later…
Just a few days later, I passed by another Starbucks and was ready to order my hojicha caramel frappuccino when I realized that their special was “different”. I quickly got out of the line and decided to wait until I got to the one closer to my local supermarket since that’s where I saw the special I wanted. So, I got to that particular cafe and then noticed that they had the same special as the other shop. Why was I thinking the specials would have been different? I didn’t see what I was looking for. I got to the cashier and asked her about it. She apologized and said, “That special finished yesterday”. Just yesterday!
I missed it!
New Special
So what’s the new special?
It’s nama (raw or pure)chocolate. They’re offering double nama-cholocate mocha and triple nama-chocolate frappuccino.
I love chocolate but didn’t feel so “chocolatey”. I saw a heart and lots of chocolate. I could assume that this special will be around till at least Valentine’s Day. Instead of assuming though, I would just ask.
Anyway, I browsed the menu and noticed that cold brew and oat milk latte were sold out. I had never tried those but my eyes darted all over the menu as I struggled to decide on a drink. My mind was still set on the hojicha caramel frappuccino.
I finally decided on getting a caramel-apple roobios tea. Shortly after sitting to have it, I witnessed a couple having what seemed to be their first sip of nama-chocolate special. They had another sip and continuously nodded in agreement that it was good.
After having my cup of tea, I enjoyed munching on the bits of apple that were left in my cup.
So, what will I do if I see a special that I surely want to get? I’ll…
1… just get it or
2…just ask how long it will last or be around.
I simply just don’t want to miss it.
What’s your favorite drink?
What drink would you say someone is missing out on if he or she has never tried it?
Cheers!
