Hello, friends!
The place where you drink coffee is just as important as its flavor because, as I've mentioned before, the right atmosphere can completely transform the experience and turn a simple get-together into a fabulous gathering. That's why my sister-in-law invited us to visit Bajo el Reloj, a café-restaurant located in Plaza Venezuela, on the 22nd floor of the La Previsora tower.
Its clever name comes from the fact that it is located just below the tower's famous Swiss clock, a landmark in the city. It is also very central, as you can get there by bus, subway, or taxi. The fact that there are many offices in the tower means that the café is always full, because imagine: you leave work and, obviously, it's always a good idea to unwind and have a coffee with friends.
In addition to the vanilla latte we ordered, we also wanted to try their mango iced tea with blueberries. To be honest, it wasn't very good; it didn't even taste like mango. The coffee, on the other hand, was delicious, with plenty of creamy foam, just the way we like it.
And, take note, if you love taking photos, this place is ideal for capturing your beauty with a spectacular backdrop, with the mountains and the city creating the perfect setting, especially if you go in the evening: it's absolutely beautiful. You can see the city from various angles and, of course, the weather is ideal; in fact, I've heard that it's better to wrap up warm at night.
The prices are competitive; for example, we spent $15 on two lattes and two iced teas, which is pretty standard, but with a bonus: the incredible view. Caracas is full of places to go on dates; that's something I always miss when I go home, because there aren't as many options in the interior of the country. I hope that if you live there or plan to visit the city, you'll set aside some time to check out this place.
See you soon!
