Whatever mood I am in. I always found myself standing in line waiting for my turn to order.
Stressed, worried, or sad, I’d go there to shake off negative energy. When happy, I’d also go there to treat myself to good food and drinks.
From the countryside, I went back to the city, and the first thing that came to mind as I stepped out of the port was coffee.
I hadn’t slept well last night and I felt so exhausted. I spent fifteen hours traveling from our province to the city. Four hours by land, and eleven hours by sea. There’s an airplane that would only take an hour but to save some bucks I took a ship. The airfare is four times the sea fare so I decided to take the latter. Instead of spending money on fare, I’d gladly spend it on food, I wasn’t in a hurry anyway.
Since the travel was against my body clock, I needed rest and caffeine into my bloodstream to boost my energy and increase vigor.
I had to travel an hour to my best friend's place where I left my belongings so I decided to take my coffee to “my go-to coffee shop” near her house. The Coffee Project. Located in Starmall, Talisay City, Cebu
Coffee Project
Coffee Project offers quality coffees, hot and cold drinks, and substantial food items. The place has a relaxing ambiance and an exceptional stunning interior. A bunch of flowers is hung like chandeliers that would create a vibrant mood. And my favorite, the vintage bicycles mounted in every corner and hung on the ceiling. Walls with hand-painted designs. They have sturdy wood and sofas that varied yet complement each other with their distinct style. This place is so warm and comfortable, beautiful and friendly, and very cozy and peaceful. The lights in the shop help lift everyone's mood in the coffee shop. They provide space that gives privacy to diners and coffee drinkers- a space for the customer who just wants to pass the time, sofas for groups, and long tables for meetings. Not only that but there are also sockets available and WiFi for diners. The natural air freshener comes from the soothing aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the savory scent of good food that would help perk up your creative juices.

Coffee and foods
Coffee project’s signature blend of coffee is Arabica coffee and Robusta coffee. I don’t have much knowledge about this coffee but one thing is for sure, it’s flavorful. They also give a wide variety of appetizing foods on its menu- sandwiches, salads, pasta, cakes, cookies, and pastries.
Aside from their hot and cold drinks and must-try dishes, they also offer useful souvenirs.
They have a cork cycle tumbler, An eco-friendly cup made of wood, umbrella just in case it’ll rain unexpectedly, and waterproof tote bags to secure things from rain and the brew-it-yourself coffee beans if you want to enjoy them in your home.
My order
I ordered dark chocolate frappe instead of coffee because my hyperacidity acted again and dark chocolate causes less reflux. I thought I’d listen to my stomach. I paired my frappe with carbonara and pepperoni pizza. The frappe was so good, the carborana was creamy and the pizza was so cheesy.
I was full and couldn’t finish my food so I took the leftover and went home with a happy tummy.♥️
Amid the pandemic, Coffee Project didn’t forget to maintain safe and healthy surroundings. They even made it creatively. Like this plastic flower beside me, to observe social distancing, they put it on the center of the sofa.
So this is my go-to coffee shop. I’m leaving you with good quotes about coffee that I took from its glass wall.
Everything gets better with coffee.
Every cup tells a story.
