Hello, coffee lovers, friends, and community members! Today, I made a coffee shake for the Hive Top Chef contest. The theme is "milkshakes," which reminds me of my college days when we would make coffee for parties instead of drinking alcohol, as alcohol wasn't widely accepted in Indian society. Coffee has always been considered a drink associated with higher social status.
Everyone had their own creative ideas for making coffee, and one of my friends, who was from Udupi a popular place for coffee lovers in south Karnataka India. was an expert at making coffee shakes. We were all quite fond of her creations. But at that time we did not have that much available chocolate and ice around so it was just plain and foamy.Today when I made it I used chocolate sauce and some ice.
Today, when I made this coffee shake and offered it to my husband, he commented that it tasted like a mocha shake.
Ingredients:
200 ml milk
1 pinch of cinnamon powder
1 sachet of decaffeinated instant coffee + some 2-month-old coffee I found in the fridge turned in a dark color. made 1 tbsp
1 tsp chocolate sauce
2 tsp sugar
In a mixer jar, I put sugar and 1 tbsp instant decaffeinated coffee
Put 3-4 ice cubes in.
Run the mixer on pause mode on and off for about 2 minutes. To get this foamy consistency.
Poured 1/2 portion in the glass.
Than milk.
Filled chocolate sauce in a handmade plastic cone and just made some easy design.
Used a grass stick to create it.
used a little more chocolate on.
sprinkled a pinch of cinnamon powder on the top
The delicious shake is ready.
The tasty shake brings back memories of my college days.
thank you.
