Hey, "kape" lovers all over the world! π€ΈββοΈ Cebuanos, have you heard? Your beloved coffeeplace has just opened its newest branch! I bet you have already heard the news somewhere via your social media (of course, you're a coffee lover after all). But just in case you're still wondering, so here's a post just for you. Yep, you, dear Hiver on the other side of the screen.
The newest Cebu branch of Bo's Coffee is located in Banawa, Cebu City. They officially opened last Friday 18th March, and my sister and I got to visit yesterday on their second "opening" day. As this branch is the newest, you'll notice that it got a "cooler" vibe than the other existing branches. Look at the place - the vibe is like a "futuristic" shoppe that sells nothing but coffee and pastries lol. It got even the same vibe with "Sunnies Face" in Ayala Mall, if you know what I mean. All the lights, the pallete/ colour choice, the space - they all ring the word "cool". This is a coffeeplace that the Gen zers and Millenials would rave about, that's for sure. Which is an observant comment granted that their market out here are college students in the nearby College of Medicine university - nice one, Bo's! You've clearly did market research.
Aside from the obvious lovely ambiance of the Cafe that attracts you to it, another treat for the eye is the design all over the coffeehouse. As Bo's is a proudly Filipino Cafe, the Pinoy side is reflected on the paintings! The "Pinoy" culture is heavily etched on these designs, and not just general Pinoy culture but Cebuano (Bisaya) one - the Magellan's cross painted on the wall, hanging rice, local guitars, mangoes, coffee made the Pinoy way. This makes this branch stand out from the rest, I reckon. Then the paintings on the other side of the place are quite informative as they detail the kind of coffee beans you can find in certain Philippine regions. #SupportLocalFarmers is subtly and magnificently being encouraged.
There's a second floor that's in my opinion, is good for those who want to study in a CafΓ©. The area (in the photo above) has about 7 tables that can seat two to three per table.
Here's my coffee date of the day, my sister who's a co-owner of our online shoppe SassyCebuanaS. I took an outfit shot that highlights her rings (which we'll launch on our page very soon), earrings (from Bloom Cebu), her cute phone casing that's colour matching with the bits and pieces of the entire ensemble. π
We went to Bo's around 10:30 AM last Saturday and there were quite a few already inside. We stayed there until 12:30 and that's when lots of people were coming in. I guess that's what happens when there's a new Cafe in town - people want to see and experience because it's "new". But also because, hey, it is Bo's. The Cafe has a place in every Filipino's heart.
The very first Cafe that I fell in love with was Bo's. I could still remember the first time (this happened after college days already haha) my best friend took me to Bo's Coffee Capitol and she ordered for me, as she was the one who insisted I try her fave cup: White Chocolate Mocha Froccino. After that, we frequent the place almost every week when we've got the time. So the coffee in Bo's has kind of grew on me.
I love (LOVE) the vibe of the cafe. I'll be back (for a zillion times I guess haha) and get lots of cups of good coffee. What do you think of this newest Bo's? Would you plan to visit? Are you a fan of their kape? Your thoughts are more than welcome!
βTil the next post, hivers! Remember that you are loved beyond borders and beyond time & space. Okay? Okay. πβ€οΈ
Ciao for now! π€π₯°
