Hi Hive Lovers
For coffee lovers, curiosity about the taste of coffee prepared using various brewing techniques and mixtures is a sensation in a taste adventure.
Basically, I am a pure coffee drinker who can drink 5–6 glasses of coffee a day. I can only enjoy truly pure coffee without mixing it with anything. But my curiosity became too great regarding the various blends presented by various well-known coffee outlets.
Sometimes I try new variants served by bartenders at coffee shops, but I really prefer it if they can convince me to try it.
The following are 4 new menus that really caught my attention, and they are all based on Arabica Gayo coffee beans, which are well known internationally, and I am really tempted to try them today, even though the two variants of the 4 menus are no longer pure coffee.
Drip coffee-wine
This “Drip Coffee-Wine” menu is what I enjoyed the most. As the name suggests, this menu is pure coffee that comes from selected #ArabicaGayo coffee beans that have been fermented.
The method of serving is the same as on the V60 menu, which is very popular with many people. The semi-coarse powder is placed in a bag and placed on the surface of the glass. You only need to slowly pour hot water at 90°C into the bag of coffee powder. You just need to be careful not to let the hot water overflow from the bag of coffee grounds.
Drop by drop of the coffee essence will fall into your coffee serving glass, and you just have to sip it after moving the powder bag after all the water droplets have gone down.
The aroma of fermented coffee is very strong and pungent, but the taste is much softer than the taste of V60 coffee when it touches your taste buds. It is highly recommended to drink it hot and not mix it with any flavorings, even if it is a small spoonful of sugar. The pure taste of the coffee is very sticky and bursts into your mouth.
Honey-Coffee
This honey coffee is just ordinary coffee mixed with pure honey. I don't really like this menu. In my opinion, the sweetness that comes from honey really destroys the authenticity of the taste of coffee.
But the appearance of this honey coffee is very interesting; you can see the separation between the honey at the bottom of the glass and the coffee at the top. I'm a little curious about how the bartender can brew that honey coffee without mixing the two.
The selling point of this honey coffee menu is only from the health side—the benefits of coffee and honey mixed in one glass. But it has really ruined the taste sensation of coffee for coffee lovers like me.
On other tables in the coffee shop, there were lots of honey coffees available in front of several other visitors, and in my opinion, this was just pursuing the benefits and health side without considering the loss of enjoyment of the coffee.
Sanger Arabica Gayo
Sanger Arabica Gayo is also one of the menu items that destroys the authenticity of the coffee taste. “Sanger” is a special name in my area for coffee mixed with sweetened condensed milk.
But the taste is really right, or balanced, between the coffee and milk that have been stirred there. You can see its thick appearance (I mean, it looks like a cappucino, but the color is more intense).
The taste is really balanced between the taste of coffee and the taste of milk; it doesn't overpower the two, and this menu is a favorite of many people here. But again and again, for a coffee lover like me, impure coffee is a menu that I don't want at all.
One two cups
This last menu is a pure coffee menu that is placed in a glass container that has more contents and can be enjoyed by two people. In accordance with the name stated there, "one two cups.”
This menu is no different from regular coffee menus in terms of taste. Only the packaging is different; your coffee is served in a special glass container, and you have to pour it into your cup yourself.
I was not too surprised by this menu, because usually it is an option for those who are sitting together relaxing, and one of them drinks more than his friend. Can be poured repeatedly into your cup, if you wish.
