Hello Hive Fam, and most especially my fellow coffee lovers across the globe! đâ
It feels so good to be writing to you again with a story thatâs close to my heart. Coffee has always been more than just a drink for me. Itâs a ritual, a comfort, and a way to connect with people I love. And finally, after two years of waiting, I got to share that joy with my two closest friends here in Bulacan.
When I moved from Manila to Bulacan two years ago, one of the things I missed most was my regular coffee hangouts with friends. We kept planning to meet up, but life always got in the way; busy schedules, unexpected errands, and sometimes just the distance. But last week, we finally made it happen.
We decided on Pugpog Bikerâs Highlands CafĂ©, located in Angat, just next to our town. The cafĂ© had been on our radar for a while, and we were curious about both the coffee and the view it promised.
As soon as we arrived, the atmosphere felt perfect for catching up. My friends ordered their go-to Iced CafĂ© Mocha, while I stayed loyal to my favorite: Iced Caramel Macchiato. Thereâs something about that blend of caramel sweetness and espresso kick that always makes me smile.
To complement our drinks, we ordered Chicken Pops and Fries. Simple, yes, but sometimes the best comfort food is exactly what you need. The flavors didnât disappoint. We were satisfied with the taste, and the crispy texture paired wonderfully with our iced coffees.
What truly amazed us was the cafĂ©âs surroundings. Nestled in the highlands, the view was breathtaking. Imagine sipping your coffee while overlooking lush greenery and feeling the cool breeze brush against your face. It was the kind of scenery that makes you pause, breathe deeply, and appreciate the moment.
We couldnât resist taking photos before leaving, because memories like these deserve to be captured.
When it was time to settle the bill, the total came to 985 PHP, which is about 16.45 USD. For three drinks, snacks, and the priceless experience of reconnecting with friends in such a beautiful setting, Iâd say it was worth every peso.
This coffee date wasnât just about the drinks or the food. It was about finally making time for friendship. After two years of planning and postponing, we proved that good things really do come to those who wait.
To my fellow coffee lovers in the Hive Cinnamon Cup Coffee Community: may your cups always be full, your conversations warm, and your friendships lasting. Thank you for reading my little story. I hope it inspires you to plan that long-overdue coffee date with someone special.
Until next time, Hive Famâcheers to coffee and connection! âđ
