Hello beautiful community of coffee.
Yesterday, my husband and I decided almost out of the blue to take a walk around the city. One of the first stops on our route was the bar-café that a dear friend of mine recently opened. The place is located on Martí Street (very famous here in Santiago de Cuba). It's small but cozy and beautiful.
It is decorated in a contemporary tropical style with certain industrial touches and some minimalist details here and there. I definitely loved the decoration from the first glance. I love those styles and it suits perfectly for a place like that. They really did a good job with the decorations.
The place is called R&H (the owners' initials). It is a small and cozy place with very good service and attentive staff. Since it is small, you can see everything being prepared, something that many customers undoubtedly appreciate nowadays. My dear husband and I ordered cappuccinos, because it wouldn't be a pleasant experience without coffee. I loved everything: the coffee, the cookies that came with it, the art, the sugar bowl, everything. It was delicious.
They don't have a wide variety of coffee yet; for the moment, they only offer espresso, cortado, cappuccino, café bombón, and coffe with milk. However, they have a wide variety of gastronomic offers on the menu, such as soft drinks, beers, malts, juices, sandwiches, hamburgers, pastas, and desserts. The cold salad (a dessert that all Cubans enjoy) and the tres-leches cake (which is a cake made with three different types of milk) are among the public's favorites.
I fell in love with the place and will definitely be back for more than one visit. And as long as they have coffee, I'll be a regular customer.
