Hello Hivers, warm greetings to all. I will start my participation with a brief anecdote. About 5 years ago, when I worked in an office after lunch, my friends and I would walk along the nearby boulevard to clear our minds, buy a candy, go to the bank and anything else we could do during that period.
In a small shopping mall, one shop sold cold coffee, slush, hot coffee and cakes. I became the biggest fan of iced coffee. At least three times a week I tasted the delicacy. One day like any other day I arrived to order coffee and was surprised to find that they were having electricity problems and were not working for the public.
I felt as if a knife was going through my chest, it was pain with desperation. My friend saw me in this state and suggested me to walk a few more blocks to a fast food restaurant (MD), since they also had a space to sell hot and cold coffee.
I accepted the suggestion and we walked in a hurry, once I knew the options, I ordered a cold coffee with milk and vanilla. Just by looking at the style of preparation I knew immediately that I would not like it. I grabbed the glass and we left the place. When I tasted the coffee, it made me nauseous, what a disgusting coffee. I decided to give it another try and took another sip. In the first available trash can I threw the glass.
I have had the opportunity to drink coffee in small locals attended by their own owners where they have small tables, nothing fancy, and all their products are made by themselves. The quality is unmatched, the love and dedication that they put into the elaboration is transferred to the food.
It is a pity that many family cafeterias are taken over by large chains where a name is more important than customer satisfaction.
These large chains produce an innumerable amount of coffees per day, on occasion their employees are not satisfied with the salaries and do not strive to give the maximum of their potential. They will still get paid by serving coffee that does not meet the expectations of the consumer.
However, I can say that I have had the pleasure of drinking good coffee in these chain coffee shops, even though the service is not very good due to the number of customers they have to serve at the same time.
I used to complain about the bad service (when it was my turn) until I learned that my complaint did not generate any change. The best thing to do is not to frequent the place again.
Family cafeteria for me is synonymous with warm service, fresh products and unique recipes that are handed down from generation to generation.
Luckily for me, I didn't want to order coffee at that time.
