Recently coffee has made me live fun and challenging experiences, last week thanks to a magical coffee I was able to go for 24 hours to the Bahamas in the company of my husband and now I will tell you about my adventure through an old coffee pot.
After a week full of responsibilities my husband, my daughter and I decided to go for a walk in a mountainous area, enjoy a cool climate and try some different snacks. So we arrived at a restaurant that in addition to food offered an exhibition and sale of antique items. We looked carefully at each item, for my daughter it was the first time she saw some of them, for me not so much. After a while we decided to take a seat to order our food.
Hot coffee was part of the menu, the pleasant weather invited you to enjoy it. As we finished our lunch a siren, alarm or I don't know what started to sound. For a moment I got scared and thought we would have to run out of the place, everyone present looked around looking for an answer, when from the kitchen comes out the owner of the restaurant and her family who are the ones that make up the work team. They were wearing party hats, maracas and whistles were blowing, Mrs. Carmen (the owner) was carrying a sign with the number 1,000,000 and approached our table.
— Congratulations! You have been the winners of a surprise prize for being our 1,000,000th customer," said Mrs. Carmen.
— What a surprise, hahaha, how nice, what did we win," I asked.
— Do you like coffee," asked Carmen.
— Of course, I love coffee. Will you give us one? I said
— No, the gift goes beyond that, I will give you an antique and magical coffee pot, actually there are three for you to choose from. Coffee pot number 1 makes you invisible BUT not your clothes or anything else you might be wearing, and the Invisibility stops randomly at different amounts of time and without warning. Coffee pot number 2 allows you to read other people's minds for a while BUT sometimes randomly also allows others to read your mind and you don't know when it's happening and coffee pot number 3 allows you to teleport anywhere in the world of your choice for 24 hours BUT sometimes it fails and sends you to a completely random place that could be anywhere.- Carmen explained.
— What do you think," I asked my family.
— You choose mom, so you can make a post for ," said Valeria.
— You're right, and
will love to see this old and magical coffee pot. Without thinking too much I choose the coffee pot number 3 - I said
Music and praise in the restaurant. Everyone was congratulating me without knowing me. They handed me the coffee pot and reminded me of my choice.
When I got home I looked at the coffee pot and doubted if it was magic, so I prepared the coffee just for me. When I finished the last sip I felt weak, as if my blood pressure had dropped. I lay down on the bed with my eyes closed. An intense cold was coming through my body, I started to shiver without being able to control myself. I could not stand it any longer and opened my eyes, I was in the Swiss Alps. I remembered the magic coffee pot.
The first thing I did was to go into a store and buy the right clothes for the place, the ones I had were not protecting me from the cold. I went out with a jacket, hat, gloves, glasses and thermal pants and a camera. Some would think I was exaggerating, but it was my first time at a temperature of -0.2°C. Then I signed up for a ski lesson. At the end of the lesson I was given the full ski equipment.
With some trepidation I took the plunge, let gravity take me and skied like a pro. Then I put the equipment aside and started playing with the snow like in the movies, forming angels, throwing balls into the trees and taking lots of pictures. To keep my body warm I went into the cafeteria and ordered a big cup of mocachino coffee. On the way out I rented a sled with an escort to drive while I enjoyed the scenery. On the way the guide told me about the hot springs and I asked him to take me.
As I was getting ready to enter the hot springs I felt weak again, I sat down and waited to recover. I closed my eyes and this time the heat took over, I thought it was the waters generating great steam, little by little I opened my eyes, my vision was blurry and I felt that I was staggering.
— Oh my God, what is this? Where am I?" I shouted, I looked around and there was only sand and I was on a camel guided by a man.
— Hey sir, sir. Can you hear me? Up here? - I said without getting an answer. I called again — Sir, do you hear me, well, can't you understand me? Sir, sir.
A woman's voice spoke to me, for an instant I thought I was imagining it, but it shouted louder.
—Turn around, back here. Hello," said a girl who was also on a camel.
— Hello, do you know what we are doing here? Where are we going? What is your name? Why is the man on the camel not answering," I asked.
— Calm down, you ask too many questions at once. I'm Melissa and what's your name? she said
— My name is Lis, I'm sorry, I'm just confused," I answered.
— Ok, calm down, we are 2 hours away from the camp, we can rest there. That's how the camel lords explained it to me. Said Melissa
— And why don't they answer me? I asked
— Because they don't understand you, hahaha. I am of Arab descent and I speak the language. Melissa answered
— Where are you from? You have a Venezuelan accent," I asked.
— Yes, I am from Caracas and you? Melissa asked as we continued walking on the camels.
— I am also from Caracas, how nice to find someone close to me," the man who was leading the camel where I was just looked at me and smiled. At times he scared me.
— Please Melissa, can you tell the gentlemen that I need to go to the bathroom, I'm peeing, I can't stand it anymore," I said.
— A bathroom, are you crazy? Don't you see where we are? In the middle of the desert, there is nothing here but sand. Melissa answered
— You're right, it's the urge to pee that keeps me from coordinating, but the truth is that I'm going to wet myself, I'm going to wet the poor camel" I said.
— No, don't do that. They might get upset and leave us here alone and without means of transportation. Melissa answered.
— Well, I'll hold on for another while. You know, the man who drives this camel looks familiar to me," I said.
— You've been here before," asked Melissa.
— No, it's my first time, but there's something about him that looks familiar. Oh I know, he is the son of Mrs. Carmen, the one from the antique restaurant. Hey you, turn around, I've already spotted you. What are you doing here," I said in a loud voice.
— The antique restaurant? Mrs. Carmen? You went there too," asked Melissa.
— Yes, do you know it? I asked
— Yes, of course, on my mother's birthday and for being the 1.000.000 customer they gave us a magic coffee pot. Melissa explained
— They told me the same thing, that we were their 1,000,000,000th client. Hey, why do they do the same with several people? I asked
— You are annoying, I am here to make your return safe, shut up or else I will make you walk all the way," answered the son of Mrs. Carmen, who was driving the camel where I was.
The heat made me fall asleep. When I woke up I was at home, in my bed, safe and sound.
This concludes my first participation in the second initiative of this warm community. I look forward to reading which coffee maker @Daimar07, ,
